multiMAN 01.16.00 is available now

Unlike previous versions this one does not come with a payload built in, pretty sure its because the developer is a little worried about sony going after him, cant say i blame him to be honest.

It is very simple to get the payload back though.

I just got the BDEMU.pkg file and installed that after I installed the latest version of multiMAN and its all running great.

If anyone has a problem finding this file feel free to PM me for a download link, not sure if I can just post the link here, its not a hard file to get anyway to be honest.

hey guys i got another Q
all games worked fine until i tried killzone 3 (Killzone.3.EU.JB.PS3-MrBLACK)
Im using CFW 3.55 with gaia.
I transferred it to my PS3 using blackb0x FTP
But when i start it, it says

'EBOOT.BIN NOT FOUND, Do you want to try fixing permissions? '

Don't know if i should choose "yes" here, or fix it in another way

thanks in advance

EDIT
Gaia 2.06
CFW 3.55 kmeaw

I used the Latest version of multiman and the no3d release, didn't have to do anything at all on Kmeaw 3.55 apart from transfer it to my internal drive, don't think it works external.

I've tried both with split files and extracted PSARC files couldn't boot killzone 3 up with external
Multiman

Thanks!, seems that was the only thing i had to do to make it work.
Been playing the game for a while now and works great.

Ps TB is pretty fast on releases (atleast i think)
but haven't seen killzone on TB yet, seems like a big release to me.

The folks over at PS3-Hacks have reportedly found a way to get back on PSN!

Quote:
Personally I haven’t tried this yet, but it seems promising… This comes from an anonymous fellow who is reporting success on connecting to PSN using PS3 Custom Firmware 3.55 by Kmeaw. So install that first and then follow these steps.

The following assumes you’re technically inclined and/or very resourceful, i.e. you know how to use Google. You’ll likely need to reference Google when it comes to generating/signing a certificate and creating a CA (certification authority). That said lets get started; here we’re using a combination of two tactics:

1. DNS server trick: Set Primary DNS to 67.202.81.137 under Network Settings
2. Simple SSL proxy that basically modifies the headers for outgoing packets to auth.np.ac.playstation.net’s to change “PS3 03.55″ to “PS3 03.56″ — this makes PSN believe the PS3 is using the proper firmware version

Got it? Now here is how we accomplish tactic #2:

1. Replacing a SSL cert in the CFW (in /dev_flash/data/cert) with your own CA SSL certificate
2. Creating an SSL certificate for “auth.np.ac.playstation.net” signed with your CA certificate
3. Run a DNS server on your machine that resolves auth.np.ac.playstation.net to your PC’s internal IP
4. Create a Java SSL proxy (basically PS3 <-> PC <-> PSN). The PC claims (to the PS3) that it is “auth.np.ac.playstation.net” and is successfully accepted because a CA signed the SSL certificate
5. Replace the headers sent PS3 -> PSN to specify “PS3 03.56″

ChrisTechTV (if it works) they’ll need you for this one man!

Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

Update: Looks like it works…
Here is video proof: link removed :-)

There is a way to un-ban yourself and also in the process (thanks to sonys piss poor job of security) you can acctually ban paying legit customers of the psn. By adding their info to a transmission software that makes sony's security think its originating from a console running hacked firmware so it will ban un-suspecting legit customers. Good job sony.

Lmao that's awesome well not for the legit customers but actually un banning yourself.

If I downloaded some isos back during the 3.41 hacks, any idea if I'm going to have to redownload the full games, or will I be able to patch em for use with 3.55 CFW?

#1379752 by unknown[9089] at 2011-02-21 11:31:38 (2 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

The ps3 games are not in iso format btw.

And I have not had a problem playing games ripped from 3.41 on 3.55 CFW.

The only issue you may have is some of your gamesaves from when you were running 3.41 OFW with a jailbreak dongle might not work on 3.55 but the games will function fine and no modifications are required.

The only time you need to "patch" a ps3 game is if you want a game that requires 3.55 firmware to run on 3.41.

You can update games perfectly fine by simply having an active internet connection and booting the game.

You do not need to be signed in or have even created a PSN account to get updates nor do you have to have a legit firmware.

You could also look at the update manager apps popping up but I see little point when game updates have nothing to do with psn and can be got automatically by just having an active internet connection.

Manual standalone game update apps will be useful if and when we get blocked from getting game updates but I am not sure if that's going to happen any time soon or if ever at all.

Yeah, that firmware has been out for a long time :slap:

I think you mean 3.56 and the answer is no, not yet.

Hardly any valid reason though with the exception of the chance of getting on PSN as all games to date work perfectly on 3.55 with no modifications.

Im out of town leaving me PS3-less, so Im unable to test this This being a library, PlayStation File System Libraries libpfsm, that you can use when building your homebrew projects, i.e.) Gaia Manager. And the Gaia Manager source is included and comes pre-modified as an example adding NTFS (libpfsm) support. You just need to build it now and Im sure someonell do that real soon.

What does PlayStation File System Libraries feature?

* Support for multiple simultaneously connected devices.
* Hot swapping of devices.
* Support for multiple partitions (with different FS).
* NTFS support
o Alternate data streams
o Sparse files
o File compression
o B+ trees directory
* FAT support
o FAT12, FAT16, FAT32
o Long file names (VFAT)

Writing to NTFS formatted volumes is not supported and not planned.

Check the README for everything else.

Thanks to Ill never tell. The author wishes to remain anonymous. Cheers!
UPDATE:

Don't go re-formatting your external USB hard drives just let, even tho Gaia Manager is included with NTFS support, it does not give you 100% way to run those 4gb+ games, this library also has to be included in a new CFW for your PS3 console to give the game read support during game play, but it does allow you to directly backup those large games to your external HDD, and directly copy them from external HDD to internal to play them!

It is a great first step, so stay tuned to PSX-SCENE to watch the ever-expanding PS3 scene action unfold!

Hi guys,

I'm in for a second hand ps3.
I've found a ps3 slim with 1 controller, 1 blueray and 3 games (mw1+2 and ratchet & clank) for €180,-
is this a good deal? I Don't know How old the console is and if it has been opened.

#1382676 by unknown[9089] at 2011-03-04 11:45:38 (2 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

Seams a little expensive for a second hand one to me.

Anyhoo, as some may know a few games have came out that require 3.56, cut a short story even shorter.

We can get them working.

This is from the Dragon Age 2 "fix"

1. Edit your Param.sfo to 3.5000 and replace it under /PS3_GAME/
2. Copy EP0177-BLUS30645_00-0000111122223333.pkg to USB Media
3. Install EP0177-BLUS30645_00-0000111122223333.pkg from "Install Package Files".
4. Boot game like normal, ENJOY!

PS. EDITED PARAM.SFO included if you don't know how to edit it.

Not sure if I've got a bad copy of it but I get corrupted data after loading it on rogero and Multiman.
I've done all the param etc.
copying over a fresh copy now.
EDiT: haha nvm seems like I didn't hotswap/eject the drive properly all working fine now after a fresh copy
