But atleast it's THE most balanced hero that is also new. All the others prove to be steamrollers the first week untill they get patched.

My only grudge against new heroes is that they ALL somehow work better with health items. Not like tanks, but they become better dpsers with more hp. Which is total bullshit.

You raise a good point. I was also furious when I couldn't go toe-toe with only bots. On the good side, I for one have been privileged to team of with guys who are just down to earth and simply ok and easy to able to convey a message of trying out new champions and avoiding to destroy any tower till champions at full Power meter.

There was one time, it just went on toooooooooooooooooooooooo freaking long and was RAPE justice on the bots. I had to msg them "yo!!! what the hell are we doing?" It was all jokes.

What do you lads (or, indeed, ladies) think of Mordekeiser? He feels he's hard to kill and farms like there's no tomorrow, but with no stuns nor slows it's difficult to kill people, even bots...

Mordekaiser imo is more most useful as a tank, but inferior in many ways to other tanks due to lack of cc. I've seen a few build him for doing damage, but that's really only an option if you're doing well early game. I play him as a tank and try to take attention off my more squishy teammates, which is fairly easy since he does do enough damage to be considered a threat.

His greatest strength is that he can stay active for a long time without needing to go back for healing/shopping, and he does lane and harass very well thanks to his shield. But in team fights you are strictly a team player, making sure you do as much damage and letting your team mates rape the enemy.

Mordekaiser sometimes seems like an empenetrable fortress. Though sometimes, he's like a cotton stick. You know, the ones you clean your ears with, then throw it away.

Picked up Morgana, got addicted to her when she was free. Supporting my way through the maps, really good fun. I have yet to play a AP build with her, gonna try that tomorrow, though I expect it to be quite a squishy build.

I think I enjoy characters who can clean up minions in fractions of a second, racking up gold like there's no tomorrow. It's this reason why I think I enjoy Mordekeiser so far. His E ability is great for early harassment.

EDIT: Plus... I still tend to do stupid things like attack enemy champs under their towers or forget that you can't take a tower 1on1 when there are no minions around... the extra shield has saved my butt loads of times.

I also found a build which seems to have some merit to it; making Mordekeiser deal nifty damage via Magic Penetration...

whats really fun to try out is:

take an AP(ability power) hero, like zilean or karthus
make your build with 1 zhonya ring, 4 arcangels staff, and boots
youll have like 1000 + AP, which is really fun.
watched a friend of mine do it with karthus, and he got a 66/3/15 score with it ^^

fed ofcourse. takes alot of kills to get that many arcangels. but its not a bad build for zilean for example.
cause you got AP, mana, mana regen and more AP. add a zhonya for more AP, and sorcerers boots for movement and magic penetration.

Before season 1 started i had a 30+ score. I did 15 games since it started and lost 13... always with feeders or leavers. I'm close to quitting, just isn't fun anymore!

I'm trying and trying and can't find a decent hero for my taste.

Mordekeiser is so far my favourite. He's got a great early harassment ability (and, unlike in Mundo's case, I don't miss with it

), and farms like a tractor. On the flip side, he's not that much of a killer, and doesn't deal all that much damage. His shield is awesome when near enemy minions, but I found it almost useless when facing someone 1 on 1.

Stacked on health he IS hard to take down however... but he also doesn't deal enough damage to make him a primary target for the enemy team; people will mostly ignore him and go for squishier targets... so, perhaps making a tank out of him is a bad idea? Except he's usually the only tank in a team in a random game. His ultimate doesn't do all that much damage (%-based, so THAT'S nice, but it's not something to burn people suddenly down).

Mundo, on the other hand, could be a GREAT tank; high HP regen (and an ultimate with a relatively short cooldown), AoE "fiery" damage, add a Sunfire cape or two and some armour and you have a champion with a lot of HP and who's not easily ignored. It's just a shame I can't farm with him at all, and such an item build is VERY expensive, and I can't get the hang of last-hitting minions. Oh, and did I mention I suck with his cleaver? I think the shot is "fatter" than it seems, and keep hitting minions next to the enemy player I was aiming at.

So I'm wondering what to aim for next. Annie seems nice, as far as ranged classes go. Katarina also has some nifty AoE capabilities for farming, and I read she's a really good overall champ.

Any hints?

Ashe is without a doubt my favorite, among those heroes I have tried. She kills her enemies fast and have an fantastic ultimate!

It's too bad that she's so damn weak against mele, such as Master'Yi, Shen etc.

You should try Vladimir, hes great at harassing heroes early on. With his main ability, he does decent damage and life steal, so you can stay in a lane for a very long time. He helps a lot in team fights with his ult, and can also slow runners with his puddle. He takes some getting used to, but he is a lot of fun to play.

If any of you would like to try out an interested tank I'd vouch for Amumu any day. He's a capable jungler, great ambusher and FABULOUS teamfighter. With his ulti he carries pretty much all the teamfights he's in unless the other team is fed.

Personally I like to build him with Swiftness Boots, Sunfire Cape x 2 and perhaps a Guardian Angel. This lets me solo as much as three people if they're slow.

All in all a pretty fun character.

I tried Mundo... he's OK, but everyone expects him to be a tank, and while he can soak up damage well, he can't disrupt fights as much as a proper tank like Rammus. Plus, his cleaver got nerfed (God knows why), and it does too much damage to Mundo to be a viable harassing tool. Well, OK, with enough cash you CAN make a VERY good tank out of him, but that's REALLY expensive.

I really like Mordekeiser so far, but just like with Mundo, everyone wants him to initiate team fights and be a tank, and he has even less team utility than Mundo. He's an awesome farmer however, and since I suck at last-hitting it's an aspect of him I really enjoy (I can't get the hang of it; I know the principle, but execution's still off, especially with ranged characters). One thing that bugs me is that it's difficult to kill people with Mordekeiser; in the few games I've been in, I was able to push enemies back, but rarely kill. Ulti + Ignite is one method of actually scoring a kill, but both are on very long cooldowns.

I don't quite like mana-dependent champions; there's something annoying about running out of mana and needing to go back to regenerate... but since Annie and Ash are relatively cheap, it's a possibility. I played Ryze against some bots, and his nukes are nifty, if the mana-limitations are not. I'm still pissed off to no end that I didn't get to play Ash more when she was free to play.

I haven't tried any assassins yet; I hear Katarina or Akali are good... Or even Shaco, whom I only saw once or twice.

In other words: I honestly have no idea who I'm looking for.

EDIT: Oh, I also have Master Yi; excellent damage output when he's fed, not so much when he's not (no harassing skills means ranged enemies can push him during laneing phase).

well if your looking for tough champ, but not a killer(most of the time)
you should play:
- mordekaiser
- rammus
- amumu
- shen(no mana, and support)

for nuke:
- katarina(no mana)
- annie
- twitch

for support:
- soraka
- zilean
- janna
- kayle
- taric

not all but those come in mind now

i played with ashe, Warwick, zilean, nunu, amumu, kayle, yi and annie
Ashe is very cheap and very good in the right hands: can do insane damage. a must in alot of cases
warwick is a perfect jungler, idk if you tried that out but it can work really good. kinda like a nuke from the bushes, and has a brilliant chase skill.
Zilean is currently my main champ. its originally a support hero, but you can do pretty high damage with it if you got nice AP+magic penetration.
Nunu, nice teamhero. but needs good planning on ganks and stuff. currently less played cause people think he sucks. not really trough but its prety tough.
Amumu, nice tank. has great abilities on holding enemies close with some nice damage over time. good teamhero.
Kayle, great support hero. can be a great ifesaver in some situations, same goes for zilean.
Master yi, fun hero when your little fed. can also be good without being fed, but your pretty easy targeted. reason is that you do pretty high damage.
annie, NUKE. insane damage combined with stun. doesnt have much HP, but with a good combined attack of skills you wont need survivability.

thats as much i can say about these champions, without making too long stories.
im no pro or anything, just enjoying the game.
