Try Akila, I've played her for about 50 games now and love her. She was really hard to get in the beginning, but now I pretty much own every game.

I pretty much follow this guide, and jungle with her. I'm summoner lvl 20 now, and can't wait to be lvl 30 so I'll meet more resistance. Got a win-streak of 8 games at the moment, and 5 more wins before that (that's when I started building her like the guide and jungle with her) just got one loss in between where I had 13/6/6, so I guess taht loss wasn't my fault even though I don't remember the game.

Akila has insane burst damage, but is quite squishy, so you have to put out wards and have a great control over the map. If I meet heroes like WW I usually own them 1v1 if I have the moment of surprise on my side, and if I don't I just fog and charge away, no problem.

I really recommend everyone to give her a go (just not when you're on my team)

EDIT: In 3 of the last 9 games (win streak) I have had quitters, but as I have a pretty insane burst damage we can easily take out one hero before the other team start attacking, making it 4v4 (or 2v2 in TT)

Such a good satisfaction when team mates actually rush in to help after I flash into a big group of enemy (5) and do my ultimate as a Amumu...

A match before i had everyone just run away because they were afraid of 5 opponents and we lost.. but this time I won woohooo

Amumu really relies on good team mates....

My score was 8/9/25

sacrificed myself a few times to take down towers.

Akali can't kill my Heimerdinger though, probably not my Amumu either when 5 melee dps can't even kill me lol

Akali is a AWESOME catcher, thats for sure. When I played Akali, I rarely lost a chase...

Gotten bit tired playing DPS etc, so I started playing support as Heimerdinger and Amumu.
Have to say I pretty much own as a Heimerdinger

23 wins and 8 losses, thx to me pushing and keeping a frontline base and than stunning the hell of everyone.

So now that the game is Season 1 with a visible rating, it's finally a competetive game. Apparently there's 100,000 dollars in cash prizes as well for this single season. I won't be seeing any of that money myself, but I'm still stoked about this.

I'm currently sitting at 3 wins in 5x5 Solo Queue with a rating of 1233 if I'm not mistaken. One of the wins were due to a server dealing with some pretty heavy lag, so we just tried to push mid.

They also released a pretty pimp cinematic trailer for season 1 which should be seen!

The game actually has 3mil people playing it currently so I'm sure it does fairly well money wise, even if only a small portion of them actually support the game and pay for things.

That 'compulsory download shit' or autoupdater as many mmo's and online games refer to it is 2MB, heres a link http://signup.leagueoflegends.com/en/signup/download.

It's also gets the latest updates for you when you launch it.

LoL deserves an honorable mention for attracting people into the new genre of gaming and being there for the casual gamer to kick back and relax, but again no way its gonna have a bigger fanbase than dota especially now that Icefrog works with VALVE(bigger company than Riot or s2)

Sorry for being slightly offtopic, but you got to realize that you're playing the mire shade of the real game!

Well, lovely.

Not only does this game silently install Pando Media Booster, which is pretty much malware right there, I create a login and I cannot use it.

I try to recover password (hell, perhaps I made a typo; unlikely, but possible), and it says the username doesn't exist. I try to register again (perhaps the whole registration got fucked along the way), and it's telling me that the username is already in use... CONTRADICTING MUCH, ARE WE? :evilmad:

This game better be worth all this trouble... :grumpy:

Well, I tried both HoN and LoL and returned to DotA, so there's my 2 cents right there!

HoN is way too overthetop grafically, and I lose track of what's going on in teamfights. Also, balancewise it was a big mess.

LoL I only played a little, but the few games I played everyone else seemed utterly noob and I lost all satisfaction of the game.

So after 4-5000 dotagames, I'm still gonna keep playing it. We'll see if DotA 2 is any better, hopefully graphicwise it'll be clean, like Valve-games tend to be.

From Summoner lvl 1 to 12. you're put into the noobie land. and atfer lvl 12, they throw you with the rest players from lvl 12 - 30. but the game places you into a game that should have players with the same "Skill level" as you.

The game is better than HON and DOTA due to the fact that you have a reason to keep playing it. you want to lvl up 1-30. place runes to increase stats. gain points to buy more champions.

technically, just play cautiously and keep moving. eventually you'll know when a gank is going to happen. where exactly you should move to avoid attacks. and how to counter other champions

Hehe, I've been playing with Fiddlesticks for a while now, and I really like the character. Crowstorm out of surprising places to kill multiple enemies == ownage, especially when coordinated with teammates. I really need to purchase this champion before the free timer runs out. Anyone want to purchase Amumu and team up with me? I heard the ultimates from these two combined can decimated entire teams.

I still don't quite know how to jungle, albeit I have learned how to get the golem buff at lvl 1.

It's just a shame I prefer the smaller 3v3 map where there are no golems with powerups to be found.

Guess I'll give LoL another whirl, see if I can be arsed to level up enough for more competetive games. In the ones I played I had 15+ kills and 1-2 deaths with Shaco, which I suppose is a great hero for noob-stomping!
