weren't they supposed to be only 7 books? it should be near the end, unless they changed mind and wanna milk the cow a bit more now that money is flowing more than ever (i suppose) :facepalm:

anyway, the books are well written, but the lack of action makes them disappointing to me, just too much intrigues with nobles treachery, secret plots and whatnot, it's just too much for me and at times it feels like some fantasy based soap opera and in fact I stopped reading them, maybe when last book is out I'll finish em out of curiosity but that's it

I think women would enjoy these type of books more

Well, I for one, enjoy the show and eagerly download it when I see it has been upped. I mean come on, it's got good actors, good storylines and great production values. What's not to like? If you want a battle every episode go and watch The Pacific or something.

Episode 3 was good but it wasn't as good as episode 2 though. I watched that one four times.

The build up of tension between the great characters is what's keeping me interested but deep down I hope HBO use a little bit of artistic license and add some more action.

here are some thoughts..

1. Don't click links in this thread if you have no clue what they are connected to

2. Stay clear of the thread in general? People who have read the books are always going to discuss things. In general people are using spoiler tags but you cannot expect them to use them 100%. Actually it fucks up the posts after a awhile if they are all inside spoiler tags.

Ive got no problem with links since they are avoidable, but this is a thread about the TV show not to discuss how awesome they are because they read the damn books.
