take away the sky high budget that allows them to film at those beautiful locations and it is just an average drama set in fantasy land, it is the Mad Men of Camelot.

Who was the bloke that shot all of the soldiers that were about to rape Theon?

I thought this episode was quite poor tbh. The music at the end was really out of place.

Mad Men's character development beats GoT's by miles though.

On the IMDB board they said the wierd song at the end was from a bad rip and not the original end credits. Would be pretty strange since the lyrics is from the book?

the song was part of the credits, though a bad rip had it cut audio in the last scene early... it was still out of place, but it wasn't supposed to ruin the Jaime scene.

Haha yes I just watched my Sky+ recording from Sky Atlantic HD and that music was at the end, very strange! I thought it was from the advert for the following program that they were rolling during the credits

Like I stated before. I think the first season was great. Easy to follow and easy to get an emotional connection with all of the cast and every epsiode had a good overview of what each and every character had in mind and was doing. Same thing in season two even though the plot sidetracks abit. (mind you I watched the 2 seasons in a row just over a weekend possible making it easier to track)

But I got to say now, it's just abit to messy to actually follow and remember what happend from week to week. Every character get about 5 min of screen time and it feels very jumpy and nothing really happens for the characters per se.

Too many goddamn characters for it's own good, indeed.
Half of them I couldn't give a rats ass about, like that old dude now following the kaalesi.

The son of Mormont (season 1 revealer) and the Ser Barristan Selmy.. hello.. they will be of major import for the story later on obviously. But you are right.. a lot of characters, think they done a good job at keeping at a down low so far, but then this episode two new ones are introduced.. gah

the weird song at the end reminded me of Kickass..

@d3vnull

I only meant that IF you wanted to reinforce her character and acting that you do it by adding background story to it. Not that I want that, just that is what you could do to make it better. Else you just have her story about her from a far away land, whereas her story + an actual narrative would reinforce her character/accent. I hope it makes sense.

Yeah it's as if they had wanted to tone down the drama on the last scene, which I found quite poignant, eh.

That joke gets lost in translation...Anyway, the 'bear' song comes back quite often in the books (that I have read).

but seriously that right there is the epitome of what Im talking about.  A single sentence that states that you read the books along with a factual spoiler/statement as proof because you cant have people think that you would make up such a outrageous lie and not have actually read the book.

I've had a weird thought the other day, that the Lord of Light (the god of fire) is intricately connected to the dragons or even be an elder dragon himself, seeing as how they're the embodiment of fire magic.
If that were true, then Melisandre might be helping Stannis weaken the Lannister hold over Westeros in order for Dany to have an easier time ascending the throne.
And what better way to fight an army of White Walkers than dragons?

But then again, no red priest has contacted Khaleesi yet... I doubt Duur (the one who "saved" Drogo) was one.

in the GoT pc game you can play as a male red priest i think, problem is, in the game they seem to be the good guys, in the tv serie they seem to be like apprentices to Satan him self

which is it? :;P

Dont think they are either good or bad. Just like most others in the GoT they have their own agenda and if they succeed they will be painted by history as good.
