What's Margaery up to by going into the orphanage?  Is she scheming something?

I hope she proves a handful for Joffrey and Cersei.

Haven't you learned to never ask open ended questions like that because the "i read the book" people will swoop in and spoil a major plot line to prove their reading comprehension?

Here's your dummy, you dropped it so I put it back in for you. :baby:

Is that better?  :finger:

If people know shit they should cover their stink up using the OMGSPOIULERTAGQZ.

As for Margery - not having read the books - my guess is that 1) she is a good person, 2) House Tyrell is securing an allegiance with the poor and the people aka the work force, secured by kindness and providence, as she needs them against.. joffrey, cercei, Lannister, whomever stands in their way of political ambitions... for someone that wants to be THE queen she is not strong politically. House Tyrell is strong presently, but there will come a time when House Lannister will be able to provide their own grain to their own cities and Tyrell will be reduced to mere puppets. It is good to have the proletariat close by (meaning they can't kill her so easily..)

Unlike The Walking Dead which I have read I also have not read the books. I think it is obviously not 1, but more 2. It is purely a political move (a smart one) to win hearts and minds so Joffrey or his mom cant easily toss her out like they did the ginger without the people pitching a fit.

well I have read the books and honestly I do not remember the part with the orphanage being in it or maybe it was and it was less of an important event in the book.

Tywin was writing a letter when Tyrion met up with him. I only managed to glimpse a few words, but I believe marriage was one of them. Whose marriage could he be planning?
Perhaps Cersei's? I doubt it's Tyrion's. Maybe Stark's?

I doubt they'd randomly show it if it was nothing important.

Having read both the Walking Dead comics and the Game of Thrones books, as well as having flicked through several lad mags in the past few years, I agree.

Yeah, who knows ^^ Now the obvious choice would be Joffrey and Margaerys wedding, wouldn't it?

I agree, it's probably Sansa's or Tyrion's marriage he's writing about to form ties for the Lannisters.
Tywin mentions he has 7 kingdoms to look after and he fears an open rebellion.

Cersei's daughter was sent away to be married to form an alliance, what's happened to her?
I remember that's why Cersei hates Tyrions guts, it was his idea.

The wedding is most likely between Margery and Joffrey. That would be most obvious. Second most obvious would be the wedding that Tyrion had arranged with Dorne, but I doubt that. I've been told its going to be  BEEEEEEEEPP...

ambition to be queen doesnt mean she cant also be a compassionate person, but thank you once again for now also pointing out it is not in the books which means that they are obviously trying to falsely lead the tv audience from seeing how horrible she truly is. If you weren't such an outstanding reader us clueless tv watchers would never had know this for sure until those bastards actually revealed it to us later on.

Oh come on!I`m not like that.I have nothing against people who don`t like books.I have a cousin who don`t like to read. It`s perfectly normal, nothing to be ashamed off. They can marry and have kids...I'm not prejudice.:-P

...and more,I make a confession.....I don`t read (watch) comics....so you see I`m not a bad man.:tease:

It could be just that.  In the letter I think it did mention *long winter* and *supplies* and Margaery did say that they had a bumper harvest this year.

If you've read the books it's unbelievably easy to drop spoilers for this show even when you really don't mean to. I did on another forum just by naming one of the chapters that have been released early for the next book.

The worst is the comments section on youtube. If you haven't read the books, avoid at all costs

I liked the first episode. Quite pleased with the casting of Mance (the Wildling king). I liked him as Ceaser in Rome.
