That was a slow and disappointing episode, daenerys gettin her dragons back was about the only cool thing

Why so much hate on the book readers in the first place? It is kind of relevant and explains why people may or may not have the opinion that they have. I mean does it actually annoy you so much you have to CONSTANTLY talk about the book readers. Get a separate thread to bash the readers and keep your filth out of this one! Nobody cares that you don't like if the book readers remind you all the time they have read the books.

There is a separate thread for book- or book vs. tv discussions though. No need to have it in here then.

Sure was a good episode, second best after episode 9.

i thought the white walkers were like big strong warriors, not the pathetic zombies we see at the end scene. a little disapointed. or were the ones on the horses the only white walkers and were the zombies just zombies....

I thought that they made that distinction between the "white walkers and zombies" as clearly as can possibly be made in that scene.

It was crystal clear to me. White walkers seem to lead an army of zombies in that scene

There was only one White Walker in the latest episode. The rest were wights.

Oh no wait, there was another one on a white horse in the final few seconds.

White Walkers are the frosty leaders, the undead humans are wights.

White walkers are big strong warriors just like in first episode in first season and one on the horse in the end..btw i think that bunch of "zombies" in the end are not "original" white walkers ..they are just fallen solders and other ppl from the north.. in the end scene you can see on the back of the one "zombies" a shield with wolf head (Stark house) ...

Any way we can make the dragons grow faster? I want them to kill every single one of the characters.

More like Tylose.

Cue laughter.

Now you're just asking from stuff from the later books.

keep in mind that even though this "zombie" stuff seems super old, martin wrote this in 1993.

though yeah, the zombies (ie. wights) were different from the whitewalkers.. they showed that pretty clearly in that scene.

2013? Really?
I mean, I knew it was a year until the next season but actually seeing the year spelled out makes it seem so far away in the future.

funny, I found that scene particularly disappointing... the warlock was defeated way to fast... :-/
I also didnt like how tyrion was treated by everyone even when it was clear that he was the one who bought his father enough time to win the battle.

the lack of bronn and dog didnt help much either... nah, Im not happy with that finale...

I've been trying to decide which way to go with reading the books.
Do it like VBG (read the book of the TV season just finished for more detail) or just read the whole lot because it is such a compelling story with great characters?  :hmmm:

Don't know if you want to. I mean they have seriously taken some terrible liberties with the stories and reading them it makes you really try to understand why they took such shortcuts and eliminated things that are actually important.

But on the other hand the more I read the clearer a lot of things that I did not immediately understand from the tv show.

You won't appreciate the Tv-series as much after having read the books. Like VBG said, you get insight into all the things they've changed or fucked up. But then again, you'll be missing out if you never read the books.
