I agree that season 2 is quite different from the book but I like it. Why does it bother you when you see the changes? If you want an exact replica of the books why don't you just read the books again?

I mean, they're removing the stuff that works great in books but would suck in TV-show. The same story can't work in two different mediums like these.

I already am re-reafing the book. On feast for crows atm.

And i disagree that these events wouldnt work in the series. This ygritte thing for example that ended last episode really changes the outlook of how things went from there in the books where he simply rejoined his fellow rangers after he was supposed to kill ygritte, not lose them and get lost, which happened now.

*cut*

I actually liked the deviation
plus Ygritte is great, so more screen time the better.

The whole King Rob and annoying nurse who is constantly wiping her hands on her apron needs to go away, it is taking up way too much of the limited time we get each week.

*cue the book readers to insinuate to be patient since it will pay off later

And Robb isn't a PoV character either.

Oh you're right, better to feign ignorance and agree with a shitty opinion based on not understanding how storytelling works.

given the back story....and what some of us know it will pay off later

but guess what, we book readers were not given that grace , honestly it would have been more pertinent

The original version of Robb's infidelity read like a masterstroke by Tywin, in the way he won the war of the north with a pen when he couldn't do it with a sword.
It was cold and cunning, and you got to see who Tyrion got his guile from.

Without going into any spoilers about how exactly Tywin bested Robb, I definitely recommend reading the books for a better insight into the game being played.

R u fucking serious?!? Without going into spoilers!!!  Once again a read the book person drops a massive spoiler showing off their unique ability they posses of being able to read.

/me doesn't give a shit anymore..spoil..don't spoil..ruin it..don't ruin it.
It's just fun to sit back and watch you lot go fucking apoplectic when someone drops a spoiler.

Come on..it's not like ANYTHING is fucking happening the entier goddamn season! Each 1hr episode gives you nothing. Maybe those who are fucking bored beyond belief might actually enjoy a few spoilers at least it gives something to look forward to.

Getting the odd spoiler gives me hope that something interesting will happen soon.
After watching season one and being disappointed with the slow dull pace off things I thought season 2 might be a bit better and the first 2 episodes were pretty good since then it's slowed to a boring drag.

How people can get so excited about this show I cant understand and even if the books are twice as good as the TV series it must be a real chore reading them.
This weeks filler episode will probably be my last, at least there is the borgias to keep me entertained on a monday afternoon.

If the next episode serves its name right it will be a killer episode. If not then piss on them.

This.

Not that I'm surprised, even Hodor could've predicted that response from VBG.

fuck it..how about I just start throwing traingles out to ANYBODY who discusses anything that was NOT shown in this weeks episode?

still think it's funny as fuck when guys who are going on and on about how they read the books then bitching about not using spoiler tags

TBH, we could use a separate thread for discussing the books. Gets a bit too messy otherwise.

It won't work unless the douches who constantly come up with "well in the books..." comments are given VBG's treatment, by which I mean, throw a triangle at them, right in the face!

OT, I'm getting more and more frustrated every week, just when things might start happening...it's over.

The brotherhood assassin helping Arya is awesome. I knew those guards were dead as soon as they showed them.
