People need to get their head around the fact that tv adaptations of books will NEVER be completely accurate, there has to be changes for it to work as a TV show, or even movie.

Actually the first season was pretty much exactly the same, down to the dialogue.
I don't remember anything about all those bloodriders getting shwacked.
Doesen't make sense.

And Ygrette was way hotter than i imagined her!


edit: It was great stuff to see that god damn incest kid get slapped by Tyrion! Loved every second of it.

The first season still didn't have exactly everything that was in the book though. But yes, what was in the show was pretty much the same.

Havent watched e06, but checked the 2hd release.

Is it just me, or does the quality seem quite low for a 720p realease. Looks more like a regular xvid to me :o

There's a 1080i release out also that has great quality. Couldn't stand the 2hd rls after 2 minutes

Regarding the book vs series discussion:
The things they're doing is just nonsense and just makes them have to rewrite more and more stuff from the book. It's not like a big thing but still they're just killing of everyone that's with Dany right now and that just doesn't make sense since she already had a small amount of people with her... It changes the dynamic furtheron when she get to other places, already no one is scared of like a 100 dothraki, 10 dothraki would make Dany a easy target... But well enough of that now..

As mussi said above. The quality of the 2HD release is awful, might be their source and not the encode.

GRRM has creative rights to say yes or no to any of this, yet he still approves and loves the show, he even mentioned how they're able to change things that he would have wanted to change...

As long as the essence/jist of it all is same as books, im golden, not going to nitpick about small things that wont influence the greater stories.

Good episode, enjoyed Theon the most though, Alfie is portraying him better than I even imagined.

I believe he has said in interviews that he has no actual decisionmaking power when it comes to the show, that he is merely a consultant. One that gets consulted often and whose work is respected and input appreciated but still not the one calling the shots.

I just found a local forum which has two threads for Game of Thrones, one without spoilers and one with spoilers.
I'm reading the one which allows  spoilers and boy oh boy.... I have to read the books after this season is over.  I wouldn't be able to wait for next season TV airing after what I have read.

One thing about the author, he's not afraid to kill off characters and bring in new ones.
