That book doesn't have anything to do with WoT, it is a new series by Sanderson. It is pretty good.

Ah, how silly of me. I'm actually scouting for new reading material so I'll think I'll give it a go. Thanks for the recommendation.

Its definitely worth reading the books! So far even though a couple of things from S2 have been changed, its still awesome to watch and more so to read -- you wont be disappointed.

As for renewals, book 3 will be split up into two seasons and supposedly shot at the same time so the children dont age too much..

there was a huge issue as to why book 4 was delayed a lot -- so hopefully book 6 and 7 shouldnt take as long! That means by the time the show finishes book 5 it would have been 4 years which hopefully means plenty of time for book 6 & 7 as long as martin doesn't take too long / run into a similar problem that he did when writing book 4

Agree that`s a big deviation from the books.

I thought this was implied in the books.

I thought that's how Milisandre got the witchy voodoo power to give birth to her shadows. As for Shireen and Patchface, they're hardly key characters and due to the fact that people are already saying there are too many characters, I don't blame them for leaving them out.

I can't believe they cut patchface, I still have hope that he'll appear in the next episode. As for Milisandre and Stannis, I always got the feeling that he simply tolerated her because she was of use to him but as time went on she got into his head (not through powers, but through promising him the kingdom) and they started getting it on.

It was never said or written directly, but the hints were there. The same way it was never said that Renly or Loras were gay, but there were hints.

Episode 3 best one so far, Dinklidge is playing Tyrion perfectly <3

Also amazingly done Theon scene, both the burning of the letter and the oath, most people at that point thought of him as a dick in the books, but it made you sympathise for him, which is great.

So he does turn against the Starks?  Hmmm,  I liked him before.

No dragon blondie this week but that Amazon soldier was pretty impressive.
What sort of crushing power would her legs have if your head was between her thighs?

Btw, with so many great characters with their own back stories, a 10 episode season is not enough.

Brienne of Tarth was great. Good casting of Gwendoline Christie who is a tall and intimidating woman at 1.91m.

it is now official

I will not watch another episode untill the season is over, and watch them all in a 6-7 hour marathon

ep 1, 2, 3 and you have seen a total of 2 min of dragon lady

they have too many characters, it is like one of those day soaps, Days of our lives that my mom like to watch
takes too much time just to go thru all the characters that almost nothing is happening in a single episode

ohh yea, crappy ending to this weeks episode

The ending to this weeks episode was not cliffhanger like as all the other episodes had been, but the drama was superb - even if character relationship etc. is no different than days of our lives Best ep so far of season 2. Also having rewatched episode 2 it does get better, but ep 3 still focuses on lesser characters, as I see it, and comes across as better.

but whatever.. still an awesome show

I've been told dragon girl has only small parts in season 2 but her story is bigger in season 3.
(according to the books).

There's 5 Daenerys-chapters I think. Others have like 10-12.

I didn't remember Theon writing a letter to Robb in the books. I didn't like it, Theon is a dick. I also didn't remember he got 'baptised' (my guess is it's the damphair who performed the act). I regret a bit they didn't show
the boys being drowned on the beach
, it's an interesting piece of lore and it explains the whole "what is dead can never die, but rises stronger" motto.

Unless it comes later, I'm a bit confused.

Damphair and his drowned boys is right at the start of A Feast for Crows, they propably will introduce him more in season 5.

I don't think he did. It appears they're trying to make the audience a little more sympathetic towards Theon.

And it works great. He spent a good deal of his upbringing at another family and he is supposed to have no regrets, remorse, etc. about what he is about to do? Its perfectly consistent with the character from the show to act in this way and it was a great scene.
