Just finished my re-watch of Season 1, so I'm fresh and up to date for the new episode.

Although, I will only get to watch it when I get home from work on Monday night

it's a "crumbs" episode....you've literally been starving for a year and you get "crumbs" as in the amount the storyline is advanced and how much is revealed.

It was good. Better at setting up things for the new season than the Mad Men opener was. New characters and plotlines introduced, viewers reminded of all things important, good fun overall.

On a side note: Melisandre is not hot enough and too few screen-time of the Arya story-arc.

Well there was no Renly and I disagree on the Melisandres hotness part, she's smokin! It was good cause we had to wait a whole fucking YEAR for a new episode. Objectively speaking - this was just an introduction and there are better episodes to come over the next couple of months.

Also it was good to see Petyr and Tyrion again. Best characters (not by far).

I was hoping the Maester Cressen scene would be portrayed better, but this was still a good opener for the season. And there was no Patchface.

Very minor spoiler from the book.

In the books we don't get to see Renly before Catelyn meets up with him.

I loved how Tyrian (the dwarf) struts in during Joffrey's duel event and then gives Cersei the bad news afterwards. :lol:

The dire wolf snarling at Jaimie was huge and awesome.
Btw, what do baby dragons eat? milk or meat?

I thought it was a pretty good episode, although it will take me a few episodes to get used to Ned Stark not being there.
