In the sport of female frontal nudity, no one can beat the pay-cable channel for copious breast scenes ('Game of Thrones,' 'Boardwalk Empire,' etc.) — and that's not a good thing.

....

In one episode of "Game of Thrones," the upper frontals got so gratuitous — two women teaching themselves the tricks of prostitution while a male character, fully clothed, muses about his personal history and definition of power — that fans took to Twitter to complain. Even the fine finale included a young nude woman washing her particulars while her elderly john monologued about the nature of kings.

It's a fucking TV serie you bitch.

Women should stay in kitchen and not write columns.
Wold without feminists would be a much more perfect world.

Agreed. Soon they'll ask that we rewrite not just the fiction, but ancient historiography as well.

Let's just get it fucking over with and have the Seven Kingdoms bow down to their new Queen...Germaine Greer. FFS!

Well after have read the first book until the part where Cat brings Tyrion to Lysa I can only say that the acting of Cat is way off! I get the feeling that she's a real fucking bitch and no love at all. The way she's been treating Jon and so on... In the series she's kind of bitchy but the books I'm almost disgusted.
And Sansa is also a fucking bitch. And Arya is bad ass! I would just want to kill Joffrey with my bare hands, both in the book and the show. That guy has dug his own grave... He will never get a chance to play a good guy in cinema anymore, he will always be Joffrey the inbred, spoiled shit.

Gwendoline Christie is Brienne of Tarth.

This from GRRM's blog,

This was another one of those cases where there was hardly any debate. The day the first batch of auditions went up for the role, we looked at a dozen actresses who were reading for Brienne and one actress who WAS Brienne. Gwendoline gave a great reading, and her look was just perfect. No, when she auditioned, she did not look she does in the photo above. She came in looking... well, like Brienne.

Stannis and Melisandre were cast.

Stannis will be played by British actor Stephen Dillane and Melisandre will be played by Carice van Houten.

I think Carice van Houten is a great choice ,I remember her from Black book (aka Zwartboek) she was great.

Stephen Dillane was great in John Adams as Thomas Jefferson even better than Paul Giamatti who played John Adams.

After have read like 150pages in the second book I'm starting to think whether the actor for Robb will be able to manage that kind of acting...

I hope they'll input a slightly higher budget for the direwolves in the next season.

Also... Does anyone know where in the books that it hints that Renly is gay with Loras? 'Cause i'm on book 4 at the moment and i'm pretty sure it hasn't been mentioned.

#1417775 by mussi (Power User) at 2011-07-20 00:48:56 (2 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

Indeed, if something I would think that it was Stannis that was the gay one. I seem to recall something like 'Stannis marches to bed like he goes to war, and just because that's his duty' and 'He does his duty in the bed once or twice a year'...
