They're reduced on Amazon UK, at least the 16G version, at 89 pounds - but they're listed as out of stock. Placed the order either way, we'll see what happens.

The 32G version is still about 429 pounds.

ps. actually... i cancelled my order. Even at 89 pounds, doesn't seem like much of a product. Doesn't have camera so no video Skype, it's only wireless with no option to use some SIM or some usb 3g modem (it has micro usb port but doubt there's drivers for 3g usb modems)...

Kind of expensive for a music/video player and i'm not travelling a lot anyway...

later edit: so it does have front facing camera... funny, check Engadget and didn't notice any mention of it. Still...

Are you kidding It's a huge bargain at that price. I paid about that for my Crappy Archos 7 Home Tablet, I also paid more than that for a used Advent Vega.

If you don't need it it's a waste of money, that's true of everything but �89 quid for a brand new capacitive tablet with 16GB storage and the potential to run Honeycomb smoothly is an incredible bargain. It's a bargain even if you only use it to surf the web, watch TV and listen to music.

I would have to buy a wireless router just to be able to use the Internet in my house - that's another 40-50 pounds as i don't buy cheap crap. right now i have a wired 120/6 connection..

Then, I have to keep in mind that where I live there's very few shops with free wi-fi - i can only think of pizza hut and mcDonalds. So outside it would be just an expensive video player. I can think of better things to do outside if i have time to be outside.

I have here on my desk 2 x 24" screens - it's really no problem to just turn on 90 degrees and throw my ass on the couch to watch a movie. For music I have a Sansa Clip that's great when i'm on the move, a Logitech 5.1 at home... so i wouldn't use this device at home either

So maybe it's just not for me... i don't use Facebook, barely use twitter, i have a plain phone as most people i work for call me on skype at home so in my case it would probably just sit on the desk gathering dust.

Well no it's just plain cheap. If you don't need or want it, it would possibly make it a waste of money but that wouldn't stop it from being damn cheap. You simply cannot buy a Capacitive Tablet for this money, I don't even think you can get a phone for that price even those shitty Chinese no name devices that flooded the market cost more.

I personally paid more for a second hand tablet than some people have for this. It's even selling for less than the price of it's components. Similarly specced Tablets sell for 4+ times that price, they could have halved the prices and still got loads of sales but �89 or $99 is insane.
It's a sweet deal even with WebOS but if Touchdroid port Android onto Touchpads it makes this the best most crazy deal I've seen in years. People will be selling these things for profit soon.

I really don't need another tablet, I barely use the one I have but if I can get one at that price I'll buy 3 & that'll be Christmas sorted, hell I may even send you one for free. :lol:
