My new set: Cambridge Audio DacMagic for digital-analog conversion, Luminous Audio Technology Axiom Passive preamp (Borrowed from a friend) to be able to listen properly at very low volumes, Lehmann Audio Rhinelander to amplify the sound to all it's glory and Sennheiser HD650 to deliver it to my ears.

Finally something material worth talking about...

Got this from Amazon UK.. a soldering kit (2 guns of different wattage and other stuff, well it's shown in the picture) and some solder...

Came relatively fast (about 5 days) through UPS Saver - used to take about 10 days on average when sent through the regular post.

Literally 10 minutes later I got a knock on my door with the second package, the main reason why I decided I needed a better soldering solution in the first place.

No pictures at the moment (package still unopened), but it's a 22" Samsung monitor that was sold as faulty by a guy (he just said one day the monitor wouldn't turn on) - it cost me 28 pounds + 30 pounds shipping and I suspect it's either a fuse or just some blown capacitors, a 5-10$/euro fix.

I'll post about the monitor later when I have the time to inspect it.

Got a Advent Vega running Honeycomb. Pretty sweet for the money. I had considered getting the Asus Eee Pad Transformer but it's a bit too expensive given I already have a Samsung NC10. Although I'm pretty pleased with the Advent I will probably upgrade somepoint next year as I want more power.

Finally went and bought my case today. Lets just say it is quite a tad smaller than my old case and i really need to work on cable managment when i have time because i couldnt even close the back panel.(eventually i did)Plus my PSU cables are too short so i have to keep them inside the case..
Maybe next week i will take a whole day and try to work it out better

Just picked up a acer aspire AO722 netbook with the new amd c60 cpu and 6290 gpu on sale at Target for $250 + a free $30 gift card. The great thing is they are supposed to only come with a c50 cpu and 6250 gpu, but some units mistakenly shipped with the better combo (look for boxes with a 1.04 bios installed)....
