It's a headphone amplifier! Mostly for fun, but it ended up a bit more expensive than I originally thought it would. The sound will probably be great, if I get it to work at all

Bought a new hard disk ...

Reviews on Newegg are crap .. didn't install the drive yet and it's not really my first choice (would have preferred WD EARS) but it was the only one on stock at my favorite retail store.

It's also with the new 4K sectors format but automatically inside, no need to be careful at formatting or setting jumpers.

I actually paid around 138$ dollars for it (24% vat tax, without it would have been around 105$)

I bought a 2TB western digital from Newegg for $69 two weeks ago. and another for $79 a month before that. :tease:

On Newegg this particular drive is 99$, with 20$ instant off... this one was brand new model brought in the country, so it is a bit more expensive compared to others.

WD EARS for example (2tb green 5900 rpm) is about 120$, which makes it around 95$ before vat.. but as I said this was the only model in stock at retail stores and I don't trust couriers or postal service with hard drives.

Yes, my country sucks VAT wise... and the government sucks and pretty much everything... but not much I can do about it now.

Sometimes i envy you for the low prices but US has other bad things which make me not wishing to be living there.
