So I was saying here that I was waiting for a SATA to IDE adapter so that I can give one of my older hard drives to my sister and make her computer faster ... along with that Barton processor in the picture.

Well, the adapter ordered on Amazon UK a month ago never came... hopefully I'll get a refund.

Last week I ordered from eBay a PCI card instead and it arrived today... it's actually cheaper than the adapter and has 3 sata ports (though pretty much only two usable) and an ide port

It's brand new...

Now all my sister has to do is to come from holiday and i'll surprise her with a new procesor and twice the disk space she has now

it's a 4-5 UK pounds sata controller... I honestly don't know if it's also recommended for other things. It's gonna go in an old Socket A based computer so that I can install a 250GB sata drive in it.

It was cheaper than buying a new IDE drive.

Those VIA cards can indeed be used to flash the 360 as well. You just need to disable the drivers for JungleFlasher to recognise the drive.

It's surprisingly good after the latest (v03) firmware update.
I haven't had too many opportunities to use it yet though :-/

I took both photos with 5D Mark II + Sigma 50mm 1.4.
