Picked two of these up today:

2x 1TB Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3

I've got them hooked up in a RAID 1 (128k strip) config on my motherboards ICH10R controller, the first benchmarks are been positive:

They are replacing my 6 month old 640 GB WesternDigital Caviar Black which was a slow drive for the money!

My new set installed BFBC2 in SECONDS, it actually took punkbuster longer to install (due to checks) than the whole game did :giggle:

Might end up adding another 1 or 2 in the future.

Each drive cost £60 which is a bargin!

Instead of whining about it do something useful and use the report function so it actually gets fixed. Thank you.

Two things:
1. Use IMGW tags for images wider than 500px! I'm tired of always fixing these.
2. Take your own pictures! It's not that hard and pretty much everyone has a some sort of camera these days. Use your phones camera if nothing else. It's really boring to browse this thread when all the pictures are just taken from web. Normal product images. Yea, I've never see those elsewhere.
:hmm:

Other than that; thanks for keeping the thread alive and interesting people :-)

Samsung WB500

I got sick of taking pictures with my N95, so I finally coughed up for something a little fancier. 10.2mp, 10x optical zoom, dual image stabilisation and 720p video recording - a hell of an improvement over the 5mp Nokia. The image above was taken with the Nokia, and as you can see it is extremely noisy - it was high time for an upgrade.

Bought some nice clothes for the prom.

Shirt was 7€, suspenders 9€, pants 25€ and the shoes were 20€. The only thing missing is a skinny tie in a shade of green very similar to my date's dress (around 5 bucks off eBay ).

The reason I have different laces is because at the time of the photo I wasn't sure which colour to pick.

straight leg trousers dont suit you at all
unless your legs are mega fat, get slim fitting trousers.

and with that color trousers, use the darker laces.

damn slacker, i like your style. tell me more about the air purifier please, how much is it, what good does it do and will there actually be less dust? i have a great vacuumer or whatever these things are called, but there is just so much fucking dust in my room all the time. and it fucking bothers me when the sunlight exposes it all^^ at night its ok tho

#1255961 by slacker4life (Power User) at 2010-03-17 23:28:42 (3 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

yea i bought a new vacuum cleaner like 6 months ago and at least half ass clean my place once a week and there's still a fair amount of dust.

be honest i got it a few days ago, was like a $150 i think.  it sucks air in the bottom and goes through a pre filter that gets the larger particles and then there's a massive HEPA filter after the exhaust which gets the small stuff like pet dander and shit.  says it will clean 99% of the air in a large room, it's bigger than i expected and isn't doing as good a job as i was hoping.  it is however collecting dust on the pre filter which is good i can see a light gray build up of dust after just a few days of 100% use on medium.  i suppose any amount of dust that's not elsewhere in my house is good though.  says you need to clean the filters every 6 months, i plan on every 4.  if there's a shit load of dust on the filters in a month or two i'll be happy.

i dont know why the fuck that happens tho.. am i changing my skin this often? I vacuum under the bed every 4 days or so.. and its a masacre down there.

and im not fat so there's no extra skin :hmm:

#1255966 by slacker4life (Power User) at 2010-03-17 23:35:25 (3 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

well my problem is because i've been building in this place for a year or two, heat my house with a wood stove, and during the summer used to leave the windows wide open, all those will cause fuckloads of dust.  i have switched to A/C now and have turned the largest room in the house into an office and will keep that the cleanest so it gets the filter and no outside air, dust just pours into houses through open windows.  the dust doesn't give me any health issues it just pisses me off.
