..and if the high level of cholesterol gives you a hart attack you can combat it by blaming on some genetic inheritance like this countryman of yours (his family) have done..

They found a chemical similar to amphetamine. Its also found in chocolate i think, but no.... Its not legal to sell here anymore.

On the box it says 1-2 scoops 30-45min prior to training, if i take 1 scoop i cant sleep for 2 days lol. Scary stuff, doubt i will continue useing it.

Bought two of these (not the same model or brand) :



500w halogen reflectors ... planning to mount them above a workbench for the times I may want to film some tutorials/demos etc .. dabbling in arduino/microcontrollers/robotics as a hobby etc

What's surprising is that they're quite cheap, I didn't expect them to that cheap, each one is about 7-8$ (in local currency)... and the light bulbs are also anything from less than a dollar to 3 for 10$. 

But the annoying part is they don't come with cable, and thick enough cable is about 1$/meter (damn copper prices), a quality wall plug is about 1.5$, an in-line power switch that can handle 500w safely is about 1$... basically the cable and the rest costs as much as the reflector itself

I may get a surprise if they mess up the camera's colors, if for example they're too bright or too yellow. But I could probably get some lower wattage bulbs and/or put some material in front to soften the light.

I actually got around to install the cable and the plug and it works great, 7500 lumens of white/yellowish light. I might do fine with just one of these for the whole desk.

Got lucky that I bought 4 extra bulbs because they're so cheap at under 1$ a piece - the original bulb was inside the reflector but inside its own packaging... when i took the bulb out i found this:

I'll certainly experiment with that. The light is a reasonable white with a yellowish tint, but I'd like it to be more white.

Thing is that may be a potential fire hazard, because it's quite hot near the bulb and glass, the box itself recommends keeping things 1 meter away from it.

I have some broken LCD screens so I plan to also try take out  the light spreader and diffuser sheets from them and see how those would work, but I'm afraid those are too much heat sensitive for this application.

Well, worst case scenario, if I still won't be pleased with the color of the light, I will probably buy some high power white leds and replace the halogen with those leds...

But quality white leds are 10-30$ a piece, they usually run at some crazy voltages like 24-40v so I'll need to make a driver for them, and need something like a cpu cooler to keep at running temperature (natural, when you dissipate 30-40 watts in a 2-3cm square)

is cool white (5600k, the current halogen light is 2800k, the higher the value the whiter-bluish is the light), 2600 lumens (the halogen in theory is 7000 lumens)  and runs at 34-40v 0.7-1a ...so 30-40 watts in a 25mm by 25 mm square...

Weather has been shitty still here in Southern Ontario so it's yet to be used/needed.

You can effectively combat cholesterol with starvation. But you won't be building muscles during the starvation period.
