Maybe one that doesn't have a lawnmower engine in it.

Lawnmower engine? It does 0-60 in 6 seconds and I could actually afford to run it in electric mode.

The thing is a European car manufacture could get more out of a lawnmower engine that you yanks could out of a 5 litre one. European cars are much more refined than american cars and always will be. You can get a Ford Mustang 5.0 GT California Special  in the uk for less than £30,000. Now that's a good price for a nice car but i would rather buy a BMW 320i xDrive SE Saloon since its more usable and more refined and does more than 10mpg

I like some American cars, mainly design wise...

In terms of specifications and quality, i think they are shit except for the models that are also sold in Europe because in order to compete in the European market, you can't just stick a heavy bulky chassis, stick a HEMIv8 on it and call it a great 'murican car.

the same is said about european cars over here where they are considered overpriced lemons that you can only drive for a few years before they turn into money pits.

Meh.  Anybody can jack up compression ratios to diesel ranges and get  power out of a  small engine.  My mrs car is 10YO and as refined as anything coming out of Europe.  It'll blow the doors off of imports at twice the price, with suspension like it's floating on air, while running on 87 octane fuel.

i swear some you guys get your info off of bathroom stall doors.

there are tons of cars in the US which are small cheap as shit hatchbacks, or something close enough to fit your needs if that's your style *gross*.

there are also a ton of 4 cylinder cars as well. barely anyone makes or buys a v8 car anymore, hell most small SUV's in the US use a 4cyl.

many cadillacs are actually built quite well and can take on similarly priced foreign vehicles.

US manufacturers haven't had their *issues* for nearly a decade now and have been very competitive.  they already went through their bloat and waste period, update your facts and stop using shit your dad told you.

muscle cars are a thing of the past, nostalgic, a niche market, no one just has a muscle car but maybe one for fun as an additional vehicle and that's about it.  get over it.

also funny how there's so much strong talk amongst people driving budget hatchback and shit lol.

In comparison too European "High-End" manufacturers the Cadillacs quality isn't good. I'm talking about the new cars not the old ones. Old technology and cheap interior/exteriors(Plastic interiors, and try to compare the seat covers. And gaps in the chassis that you can run your fist through).

Bought a used car. Volvo S40 1998. Not the one on the picture, but pretty similar exept the rims.

Btw we are gonna steal some pages from this thread if we keep this US vs Euro cars war go on.

That's a crock of shit somebody on the internet told you.  Our caddy is a nicer car in every aspect than the 2011 C350 my brother owns (for 6x the cost).

good choice, volvos run for ages, not a big fan of volvo, if i had the money i would probably buy another car which game more thrill.

i have a Volvo 855 glt from 1993! yh u heard right! only done 25,100 swedish miles, so engine gearbox running great. even in 2013 they match up to modern cars, it has ABS, ACC, antispin(not that good tbh lol) and electronic gizmos, and still rides great smooth etc. also the straight 5 gurgles nicely

What car is that?
Are you sure your caddy isn't "nicer than every other car in the world" because it's your car.

Never understood why anyone would want muscle cars in Europe. Even if you gave me one for free I couldn't afford to run it and there's not a lot of long straight roads round here.

Now if you're talking about American cars to envy well give me the Fisker Karma.

well if we remove UK from Europe then muscle cars are perfect for Europe.
been to London, Edinburgh and ofc Stirling(William Wallace monument FFS!!) and they all had roads made for 1 horse and nothing else, I would not dare to throw down to second and do a 360 and then continue straight on on those tiny microscopic medieval roads hehe

upgrade to the new world ffs
I use my "muscle car" all summer, burning rubber, drifting around corners in the city and just having a blast on our big wide open roads.
and ofc normal roads go straight so redlight racing a highway racing are awesome

saw the ep where jeremy clarkson whined about 500bhp dodge ram srt and the hummer hahah, they blocked all of the British roads, it was silly.
and was it the first ep this season they had a 660bhp mustang which he just happened to lose the only competition they ever had was when he drove that car lol
they also refused to drive it around the track, fearing it would beat some £200 000+ cars hehehe

brits just hate Americans cus they are arrogant sometimes and because of that they must whine on their cheaper cars
Aston Martin Rapide 2013(£200 000) is more than twize the prize of the SRT Viper(£70 000) and the corvette zr-1(£78 000)

power?
AMR   = 470 bhp 0-60mph 5.0seconds
Viper  = 640 bhp 0-60mph 3.3seconds
vette  = 638 bhp 0-60mph 3.4seconds

now, what gives för the aston to charge another £120 000-£130 000?, dress the inside of the car with leather will not cost £130 000
my car would spank the rapide as it now, both on track and the highway/freeway and it was about 5% of the price of the Aston

I would rather spend £200 000 in mods than buying an overpriced "LOOK AT ME BADGE"

not saying I hate aston martin, i just used it as an example in this

hmm maybe a mod could start a thread and move all these post that i, after writing this, understand must be off topic

The American concept of a car beating another car is defined by the act of pressing the pedal and driving on a straight line without even changing gears manually...
So yeah, in those terms, some cheap American cars beat some expensive European cars.

- 48 pieces of silent coat to make that jappy's noiselevel inside the cabin toleratable.
- Focal 165KR 6.5" speaker set
- Some AutoStudio amp.

Oh Sorry folks! Didnt notice there was car wars going on! :lol:
