It's a 1997 Yamaha Virago XV1100

Edit: I was thinking about swapping out the exhausts for some fat/drag pipes but I dont think I will to be honest, will most likely just end up cleaning up the current ones and maybe just remove the baffle so I wont have to rejet... Not sure yet.

I had a Virago a bunch of years ago.  It's a great running and looking bike, but I didn't fit it very well.  The wheelbase on them seems better suited to a person 5'10" or below.   Sold it and bought a honda valkyrie which I have to this day and is by far the most powerfull and comfortable bike I've ever been on.  My other bike was over 2x the price of the Valk and comparably a pos.

@Johnboyjoe: Nice one dude! I used to want one of those a few years back but I ended up not buying one considering I would probably crash it after like 10 seconds air time^^

hopefully i'll no be crashing that for a while, i have a smaller heli for training and throwing about that costs pennies to repair compared to the larger heli's, its a great we tool check the video below to see it in action. i've done a little modding and its pretty damn quick for its size hehe

I bought this car off an old lady who literally only took it to church and the grocery store.  She lost her license due to eye problems and the car sat for 8 months before she decided to sell it.  It only had 20k miles on it, and she only wanted $1000.  SOLD!!!  I'll give it to my daughter to beat around in it for that price.

Well, the mrs went and picked it up (bought it sight unseen, knew the lady and the car) and when she got home she said it smelled like something died in it.  After investigating the smell I found the car is completely INFESTED with RATS!!!

Mrs says burn the fucker, but I refuse to be considered a moron impulse buyer.  I've removed every bit of the cars interior including seats, all plastic, headliner, carpets and pads, door panels, and the entire dashboard.  I've pressure and washed steam cleaned the under carriage and engine compartment, and ordered a new carpet and headliner along with new heater and evaperator cores (the entire duct system was stuffed full of nests) .   Now for the tedious task of meticulously cleaning and sanitizing each part of the interior and reassembling.

I've also sent to the state for a new license plate.  Pennsylvania plate #  RAT- MOBL :-)

Rat nests. I hate those 2 words together. Haven't they chewed through wires etc?

#1482404 by mbodnar (Airborne Mod) at 2012-06-18 00:31:39 (1 year ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

I haven't found a single bad wire or anything not working.  I was surprised by this as well, gut an old farmer who lives near me said that rats wont touch the wires unlike mice who will chew them to bits. Strange, but apparently true.
