S3 might be comming in a couple of montsh, but I don't care. My phone broke and I needed a new one, so was quick on the trigger. Had an old Sony Ericsson for 7 years now.

Bought a big fat slab of wood ... 1.8 meters by 0.8 meters...
and legs...

Building from scratch a wide desk for my monitors and whatever else I may put on it - the one I have now is small, only 1.2 meters wide.

Basically the total price is about 80$ and it was so much because i bought some special screws to keep it modular and be able to remove the legs in case I want to carry it somewhere. Even the cheapest ikea desk of a size close to mine (1.6 by 0.8) is about 140$ here.

44 lei = 13$ per square meter 1.8 x 0.8 = 1.44 square meters

and i also bought a cheap wire stripper from black and decker that basically looks like this one, only it's all red:

For about 10$ it does the job and it's useful around the house.

For me everytime I try to go the DIY I always end up spending more than I would have simply buying the item outright. I have a garage filled with various power tools as expensive reminders that I have zero carpentry skills.
