Hi
Didn't see this suggested in any of the posts, so i thought I'd do it ^^

Going on with it;
Seeing as we have the "Nuked" icon for telling "us people" who only click the fancy little DL icon next to the torrent-  I was basically thinking if it would be possible to add a feature to tell if the torrent had been reported for broken files ect?

Just something to give you a hint towards that this file may not be working, without having to check the comment section first. Just like the Nuke thing - Where you could scroll over the icon to see what's wrong with it.

I hope you'll get what I'm trying to say

And thanks for keeping the site this awesome and wonderful

Hello fine admins and behind the scene coders !

I was wondering if you had considered an option to:
1) basically force every page hit to go through https:// instead of http (like what github.com rolled out recently)
2) switch the "fast download" icon the HTTPS/SSL version rather than the regular one

I understand giving this to this fine crowd of paranoiacs over here might put extra strain on the server(s), but I thought I'd just throw the suggestion around.

Not that it can't be done entirely client side - greasemonkey-fu style, but I believe this should be a nice perk to some.

1.) sniperEdit: We don't force anyone to use https, you can if you want to.
2.) Fast download icon is https if you use https to browse the site.

zofiledit: I meant, have an option that force me to use it (force a redirect), to prevent stupid firefow awesome bar or anything else to bring me back in http mode by mistake. Sorry for the confusion, I didnt mean to force anyone.

Been through this thread searching for pre and couldn't find this but sorry if i missed it somehow.

I know we have pre time on the browse page, would it be possible to get it on the torrent details page aswell? I am not sure if we had this before or i am thinking of another site.

like:

Transferred
Added
Pre Time
Views

It's only something small but quite often i dont notice on the browse page but am curious afterwards and have to go find it again on the browse page If its too much work or you feel pointless no matter.

Thanks and keep up the great work <3

Edit: not gonna add another post but just edit this, im guessing its a no go lol. did i miss a post and ur saving me or something else, just find it odd there is no response at all ;o

What if you could add a advanced setting in "TBnotify"?

Like, you will not only add a filter on what you want to auto download, but also be able to choose where to save the data for each file.

TBN is a product of a user, not staff / coders.

The ability to make a custom category, or a default search filter (with multiple inputs).
Example:
I'd like to see if one of my favroite tv shows has a new episode, so I will have a filter for *Chuck*720p*,*Dexter*720p*,*Weeds*720p* etc'

I thought I'd suggest this myself, but you beat me too it.

Or rather than saved searches, just make an option to add bookmarks from keywords. Would be so clean and tidy!

Already exists. Just click the little download icon just left of the name (but right of the category icon).

I'd like to see a "select all" button on the browse page, because I am almost always interested in seeing all the categories bar one or two. It gets a wee bit annoying to click all the boxes all the time.

Edit: To clarify: I would press "select all" then deselect the few categories I don't want.

you can set them in your profile?

Surely already been a suggested but,

What if, you could make some kind of notification.

In example, I make a post on the forums, and if someone quotes my post and answer it, I will receive a notification.

A remember me thingy so you don't have to type in password/name would be cool.

Such option is on by default and you can't really turn it off.
Things that reset the option:
  • No cookie (deleted)
  • IP change (cookie not valid)

Strange.  Gmail, for example, and lotsa other places keep me logged in but TB doesn't.  It hasn't for as long as I've been a member, I always figured it was a security thing.

@mbodnar: It shouldn't unless either of the above conditions is met (or both, for that matter)
@Melrose86: Are you talking about your clients passwd manager actually working? If so, that is a whole another matter.

Like I said in this GreaseMonkey topic post, it would be nice if the torrent bookmark function has a  better name matching algorithm. Also, maybe a customizable highlight color for this.

An official last week of November thread for members to post what they would like for Christmas in an effort to avoid all the poor saps from getting banned every year because they either failed to read or never actually read the rules about making torrent requests.

OR an unofficial amnesty during the month of December for members who make the mistake of making a request.

I say this based on the amount of warnings/bans found on Xmas Calendar comments section.

We can be Moderator Scrooges the 11 other months of the year and cut the folks a break in December.

Every single one of those is because of a "WHERES THE PORN?!?!?" comment.
There will not be porn on any single of the daily packs, period.

I don't really get the idea of "act as if in a pigsty"-month, when you receive a lot of stuff for absolutely free at the same time. Especially I don't get the criticizing of what you're getting and asking for even more!

Hell, one guy even wondered up to support channel saying he had read the news post, but decided to ask anyhow, admitting that it was one of the most stupid things he had done in a while. Doing something on purpose regardless of understanding you should not do it is something I refuse to comprehend.
