Could we have a 1week a month open to public?

For example, for 1 week people who aren't signed on the site could access the torrents and download them (but not the forums etc) thus boosting the upload of our members? Or 1 week every two months or so.

I've like to see magnetic links added to the browse page so there is no need to download then open the torrent file.

I would like the damn snow to stop in Germany so I can return home, damn flight cancellation...

sorry bout that, the real suggestion:

Always when I am looking for good(!!) movies, I first have to look what they are about, then I look at IMDB and lots of them are really really bad, would it be possible to filter movies by IMDB grade?? that would be sooooo awesome! If one person says its a bad movie, I will watch it, but if nearly all say its crap I wont, hehe

There are two pretty cool user-made applications you can try. The first requires that you have a local webserver running but has the advantage of caching results, that can be found here. The second probes IMDb each time you visit the browse page without caching, but has the advantage of not needing to run a webserver, that can be found here.

A short period of time (say a minute or so) where you can edit your post (correct spelling etc) without it showing as being edited.

Suggestion:

Audio/Video Quality rating system on the film torrents. Users being able to rate the QUALITY themselves. We are after all a community in which everyone's opinion matters. And I think this could be a good indication of the quality seeing as the quality of a dvdrip can very much vary from another one. Thanks!

When browsing torrents, distinguish between torrents the user has already downloaded and torrents the user has not.

sniperEdit: Not gonna happen, we don't log what users have or have not downloaded

What about an option for the user to manually mark torrents for themselves only?
Flagging it with a note, or anything else would work, too. Wouldn't have to show anywhere else except on the torrent's title, to the user only, whether browsing the category, or reading the torrent info. Bookmarking these all creates a lot of hassle.

well you can watch trailers on imdb and decide for yourself if it's good or not,
this site have nice feature, click on  DivX or DvD or whatever you do for watching movies, then click on the seed or leechers bar, and you can see howmanny poeple are leeching or seeding torrents, and you will figure out what movies are good and not

Is it possible to see just the folders of a torrent?
This would be helpful in packs because the number of files is often so high.

Example http://www.torrentbytes.net/details.php?id=92250
has "see full list" of files, but list of folders would be more useful to see torrent contents.

Thanks.

is it possible that the browser page does an automatic update for example every or so the page automatically refreshes and it shows anything that has been uploaded just recently rather than having to refresh the page manually

Anybody thought of an app for TorrentBytes on Android phones?

#1376032 by R0berto (Power User) at 2011-02-08 13:43:20 (2 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

I saw a feature like mine already requested, but mine is a bit different, so I'll post it

I would really like to have a seperate rss feed for the favorites set in your profile.

it's somewhat like the custom search term for the rss feed, but now it can contain more different torrents more easily.

in combination with the considered increase of items in the rss feed, it would really be great!

Add torrent category to IRC-announcer. This will aid scripts to better filter out what to auto dl and what to ignore.

Example on how it could look like:
<+ByteMe> [TB-RLS] .:. [ TV/XviD ] .:. [ Omnisport.2010.09.03.WS.PDTV.XviD-W4F ] .:. [ http://www.torrentbytes.net/download.php?id=150091 ] .:. [ http://www.torrentbytes.net/details.php?id=150091 ] .:. [ Uploaded 1 minute, 22 seconds after pre ]

I'll take a look if/when I find the script somewhere or can get someone from the coding dept to do it.

Soo...any progress?

Not so far, no. I was sure I had the script floating around here somewhere, but evidently I was wrong.

My account was deleted the other day, it was quite frustrating after over 2 years of membership.
And all DL/UL stats gone, :\

So what i was proposing was an E-Mail notification before account is deleted and user has not logged on and browsed in 30-35 days.

For us users who uses RSS Feeds this would be a really helpfull feature.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Alphaice

//
saw later : "* E-mail notification on anything (Imagine the amount of emails we had to send.)"

I dont know how often users get deleted from TB, but i was hoping this would be considered anyway.

I have a suggestion.

It'd be nice, in the forums, when you click on the icon to the left of a topic, it would take you to the first unread post in that thread.

@Codex: That already works as "bookmark thread."
@alphaice: No. If you don't use the site, you don't need the account. Deletion is set at 42 days, deletion cycles are ran multiple times every hour.

Ok, understood, i am using (and needing)  the site, but sometimes its easy to forget to browse when you have a filter that downloads (and seeds) everything you need.

Thats why an E-mail warning would be usefull.

btw, theres a problem with the sidebar.jpg from the "Links.php" page..  its misplaced, to the bottom.

i would be delighted to look at the code for you , though i doubt you need it

kind regards.

alphaice

//

Same thing with the bottom border :\

Remove the duplicate attribute: align="center" in line 36 of the output code for Links page

table class="outerborder" width="1000" !!!align="center"!!! border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" !!!align="center"!!!

And remove the  </td></tr></table> from line 245 of the output code and you should be in the clear

ohh..and the duplicate attribute for outerborder table [ align="center" ] seems to be on every page on the site.

anyway thats all i can do without the files.

Kind Regards

alphaice

So..what is the conclusion? Continue to look for it? Or stop looking for it, because it's whereabouts are unknown, even if the script is alive and kicking on irc?
