I'll take any part of this show that doesn't have to do with Sookie/Bill/Eric screwing each other; this season has been very good about that.

Tonight's episode wasn't too bad, but it felt kinda slow. Probably because we didn't learn a lot and it was filled with crap in between any new tidbits of information.

- Whoever released Russell was from the Authority. So either Nina or that other hot woman with the identical necklace.
- Terry's storyline introduced a freakin fire demon called an Ifrit.
- We actually got to see a talking Russell Edgington, so he's almost back to full strength. Probably next episode.
- Sam's girlfriend Luna is dead and it seems like a group of rednecks in masks are targeting shifters some how. Hotshot? Probably not.

The preview for next weeks episode looked good. Hopefully it is.

Edit: this news is a week old, but it's the first I've heard about it. HBO has renewed True Blood for a sixth season.

Bill being what, almost 200 years old and Eric over 1000 they are pretty stupid not to just wrap that stake they got on in a copper mesh and it would be useless.

Possible spoiler? (i havent read the books and havent seen next weeks episode, only speculation)

I dont think the director used his head too much when shooting the scene where you saw Russel being digged up

if you look closely you can see a birthmark right next to the necklace and in a scene later it looks like the same birthmark Nora has on her chest

not sure if im just jumping to conclusions but it seemed pretty obvious

I don't think this Authority stuff is in the books, I think the show has just made up this storyline.

As for who dug Russell up, I am hoping it's Nora. This isn't a spoiler, this is just me guessing so people don't get all upset. I think it would be funny for Eric's sister to betray him like this.

Hell, now that I think of it, isn't Nora Salome's apprentice in the Authority. Would be interesting if we're to think it's only one or the other, but it turns out they were both "Sanguinistas" and in it together.

Yeah, guess we'll have to wait and see what happens before we can be sure. Im also sensing abit with the Pam and Tera storyline that maybe it could be Pam that told whoever it is where Russel was buried, she's becoming more "dark" when it comes to feeding on humans than she usually is.

Also, got intrigued about the whole "Blood of Lilith" vial and what that kind of blood could do if it really is Lilith's blood (or if just a dummy like The Guardian suggested). Cant wait to hear more vampire lore stuff

And oh yeah, in the preview we saw Hoyt being all covered in vampire goo, i sure hope its not Jessica, better be Tera or some random vampire, NOT Jessica she's too damn hot, show wont be the same without her

Ha, yeah I'm betting it's just some random vampire. I would LOVE if it was Tara, but there's no way they would turn her into a vamp just to kill her off half way through the season. That would be an end-of-season type thing. The blood of Lilith thing really has me interested too. The preview for next week left us hanging.

Nora: It's finally happening after all this time
Eric: What is happening?
Nora: Thank you Lilith
Then she goes into like this trance with her back all bent.

I wanna know what the hell is going to happen! lol

Its set off by a radio signal from the app theyve been so keen on letting us know they have for it. Wrapping it in copper mesh creates a faraday cage around it meaning it wont be able to pick up any signals and thus not being able to be triggered. Timer or not.

Im sure their programmers are smart enough to code the app to self trigger if it loses its signal for a specific amount of time.

If I had to guess how the harnesses will come off I'd guess it'll be Sookie doing some weird faerie bullshit. Like last season when she zapped Eric and gave him all his memories back. It'll probably be something ridiculous too like she is aiming for Russell and he moves out of the way and she nails Bill and Eric at the same time and tada...the stakes will magically fall away.

A renewal has nothing to do with the quality. Many shows continue long after they stopped being good and my comment had nothing to do with the questionable fact that it continues to make episodes...

Definitely agree with you there, sadly like watching a train wreck I keep going back, although to be fair only when I can't find anything better to watch at short notice.

I enjoyed tonight's episode! The ending was awesome. Russell is such a badass. His lines are always hilarious.

As Russell is being hauled out of the room you hear him yelling still:

Possible casting call for Lilith:

Apparently we see who Lilith is next episode, with boobs.

Yeah they should really cut the show down to 30min and really focus on the vampire storyline which was great this week, Russel is this season's saving grace.
