There even was a girl player who did that, and on an international level if I remember correctly! Serves the guy in blue right for breaking the rules. Although it doesn't really hurt that much, not with the balls used today.

i would rather take a ball to the nose than to the ear.

i love that stingy pain though because it gives you extra strength to run it off and you can use it the best way to try to close someone down or if you have the ball you go on and score
