I have exactly the same model (as in hOG's post), it was not american version but the original commodore 64 from 1982. Jooboos is commodore 64C which was released 1986.

I don't remember to be honest, but it predated DOS right.. so I'm not thinking GUI. Basically you would pop in a cassette and hit play or fast forward.. I wasn't very old..

speaking of DOS

The eprom was easily programmable (reflashed). For example my 64 states <my name> system, it has different colors and it has diskspeed software built in which can be activated with sys command.
It also has some other built in features flashed by me and my buddy.

My first was an atari 400.  I upgradex to the 800 a couple years later and when i ooened the box all that was in there was a brick.  Apparently sombody bought it, replaced the pc with a brick for weight, and took it back.  The store apologized and gave me another one.

Dark era?
Was pretty good that consoles took over. Or else we would have been without some of the better titles of all times. Something todays game developers should look back at and learn.

Due to alarming raping rates (like huge) and other crimes in France during/after WWII committed by US soldiers, the US made this booklet in an effort to control the situation, this isnt the usual propaganda of the time,it's good stuff! ..if you care about the real history of people, you want to read this and why it was made... cause this stuff  is what History is about, not learning fucking treaties dates!

Quote:

"The French aren't our kind of people. The Germans are."

What makes a nation "our kind of people" ? The way they look? The clothes they wear? The kind of plumbing they have? Or the things they believe in - the things they fight for; the things they fight against?

The French believe that all men are born and created equal. They believe in freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, the rights of minorities, government of the people, by the people, and for the people. What do the Germans believe in ?

The French were our allies during the American Revolution. They were our allies in 1917-1918. They were our allies in 1941-1945. What were the Germans?

The French proved, by their acts, that they are "our kind of people". The Germans proved, by their acts, that they are not "our kind of people". Look. at the record. It's a record of facts, not assumptions; it's a record of deeds, not pretense.

You can't tell what Germany is really like, because you are not seeing Germany: you are seeing a Germany that has been beaten, conquered, and occupied. You are seeing a Germany that has had the arrogance and insolence knocked out of her. You can't tell what "the Germans" are really like, because you are seeing Germans who are being forced to obey themselves - under military government.

"Forsake not an old friend, for the new is not comparable unto him".
- Ecelesiasticus, IX, 10 -

read the entire booklet here:

Quote:

66. "The French can't drive a car. They can't keep it up. They ruin vehicles."

The French, on the whole, certainly do not drive as well, keep a car up as well, or protect their vehicles as well as we do. Neither do women, compared to men.

We have had more mechanical training, more technical experience. And at the present time we have incomparably better maintenance facilities.
