Right!

#114296 by unknown[17497] at 2005-03-14 15:17:03 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Hell YES !!!!!

I don`t speak english veryx well but I can understand all if I read the subtitled. Th problem is that I don`t get all that is said in the movie. When people are talking very fast I can`t understand what they are talking about but if I can read instead of just listening it would help me very much.

Ok that`s my problem but think how many peolple out there are deaf by nature and they can`t hear what is going on in the movie so think of them too.

It would be great to see subpacks on this site  it would make it even better than it is now !!!!

Have fun !!!!

I voted YES too, that would be great for people which english is not their native language, just like me :-P

#114753 by unknown[9294] at 2005-03-14 21:56:18 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Guess it wouldn't hurt anyone, so I voted yes.

Hmmm... i voted WTF are subpacks... but now that i know what they are i think they would be really useful.
Even though i can perfectly understand english i would love to have the movies I take with subtitles in portuguese

#116165 by sixsixsix (Power User) at 2005-03-15 20:59:55 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

I would! I don't understand everything when I just hear it. I wouldn't have to download full DVDs for subtitles, either. They only need to be english for me.

#116173 by unknown[32544] at 2005-03-15 21:06:30 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

I don't really need sub packs but there are so many people who don't follow English too well. I think many of them already voted  yes though. It's just nice for them to be able to fully understand a movie or maybe even just certain parts of it.

OMG, after I have voted WTF are subpacks I instantly knew what they were. I will vote YES please! This will be a killer add on to torrentbytes. I love to follow the titles in english while I am looking the movie. It helps a lot. I remember this week after seeing "Inside i am dancing" I was thinking: Fuck, I would have really enjoyed more the movie with some subs, the english slang used on that movie was pretty damn difficult to undertand.

Hey, i would also like subpacks, but i got a quiestion. If i download the dvd-r and the subpack for it, then i would need 2 add these subs to the dvd before burning right? I have heard it takes alot of time to add these subtitles

I've never had a problem understanding a english/american movie but my gf has big problems without subs... its ok if they are in english just so she can read if she doesnt hear what they say. Also great for hearing impaired (spelling?). However I believe that if you watch enough movies without subs you will learn english quicker.

#119581 by unknown[18703] at 2005-03-18 07:40:54 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

I like english subtitles for movies, because it's often hard to hear every word they say, when English is not your native language. However I plea that subs for the hearing impaired will be marked as such as I truly hate those subs with [Man whistling] etc. in them. And all too often I have gotten subs which contain this, which completely ruins the movie experience for me, so please let that be explicitly stated.
