Voted no, because there are loads of other sites where u can download subtitles.

I voted YES!

Usually I don't watch a movie without english subs. English is not my native language and sometimes I think it's difficult to hear all words when the actors are slurring or have a different accent.

Yes, there are subtitles on other sites, but most often they are of quite low quality and you don't know what you get when downloading from these sites. When you have a subpack, you know it is the original subs from the DVD and they are always very good.

i voted YES!

I want more dutch subtitels and i want it from 1 site and that is torrentbytes.

#111213 by unknown[8647] at 2005-03-12 12:27:10 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Most of those sites who offer subtitles are not 0day, for example they dont have subs for the most recent releases and they take weeks to get them

Most of those sites are not reliable at all, they get down within months

The subtitles they offer are some fanmade subs, not so reliable as well

Those sites have hundreds of ads and send you SPAM to your inbox, also some of them install nasty spyware

For the people who voted no!, why not people? Do not think only for yourselves, think on the people who would need them

Most of us in the tracker dont speak/comprehend as good as you bc its not our native language

What about the hearing impaired? I am sure there must be some around us

Yes, but of course we want subpacks!

Even if other sites are full of 'em, I think it's a waste of time trying to get the right subs for a specific release. Therefore I think that uploaders only should upload subpacks to releases allready available here, not just a "bunch of" different subpacks.

And why vote no? There are plenty of stuff I don't what here (PS2 games etc), but it doesn't matter if they're available for others to enjoy!

I would rather see like a own section for it. Like the dox section we had earlier. Ofcourse only accesible to powerusers. And since the sharing of subpacks is in no way ilegal we could even start an own open webpage for it if we wanted.

#111424 by unknown[578] at 2005-03-12 16:04:26 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Sure... if possible.

#111436 by unknown[54840] at 2005-03-12 16:11:38 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

The subpacks should be bundled with the releases they're meant for.  That would be fine.

#111446 by unknown[4289] at 2005-03-12 16:25:06 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Yes, ionite is right. If a release group makes a subpack it should be here as well. I voted Yes!

#111468 by unknown[48718] at 2005-03-12 16:45:21 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Subpacks for what? If a movie contain subtitles then it should be in the release, doesn't it?

#111494 by l33cher (Power User) at 2005-03-12 17:10:37 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

personally I really dont care - but I voted yes because of all the peeps here that don't have english as their native language.

For a lot of movie releases, another group or group division release a seperate subpack.

Note: The discussion of subpacks has nothing to do with DVDR releases for obvious reasons.
