I'm happy with how i was born, but if i were maimed in an accident then i'd definately have it done....but never just for the sake of it.

#105016 by joeroe (User) at 2005-03-07 18:59:21 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Yes, but only to hide the results of a accident or similar.

Michael Jackson knows best what plastic surgery can do to a man!

#105406 by unknown[37588] at 2005-03-07 23:24:37 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Yes, but only to hide the results of a accident or similar.

But the plastic surgents can do great things, for instance cup A to cup F. I don't have any problem with that kind of plastic surgery. (But not on my body, i don't like the combination of a dick with boobs)

"Sure, Nothing wrong with improving yourself"

i'm happy with my body. most of it, at least. minor enhancements/corrections wouldn't be bad.
of course, i'd only do minor surgery. nothing serious. i want to live a long and healthy life

#105848 by unknown[4097] at 2005-03-08 11:29:43 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

I think there is a difference between reconstructive surgery and plastic surgery. Surgery canīt fix how you view yourself, well perhaps brain surgery.

#106163 by unknown[30052] at 2005-03-08 17:04:00 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Wouldn't get plastic surgery for the fun of it, but I broke my nose as a child and didn't have it set...Now I got this big hump on it...Wouldn't mind getting that fixed...But I heard they cut you open, and grind out the calcium deposit, rebreak your nose, then set it again, All while your still awake, under an anesthetic of course...Still, that would be one hell of a freaky experience :\

#106584 by unknown[1513] at 2005-03-08 21:49:30 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

playster: go talk to a doctor then, ofc they can sleep you down before they start in such a surgery, dont believe everything you hear around you. if i were in ure pos and felt bad about it i would do it. morphine (spelled right?) is one hell of a freaky experience

#106852 by unknown[4097] at 2005-03-09 01:40:32 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

I agree with Dolce, nice support. I donīt think itīs any major surgery.

#107648 by unknown[33937] at 2005-03-09 18:16:14 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

There is a big difference between plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery.

In the poll we are being asked if we would consider plastic surgery. Sure why not.

If i'm in an accident and my face was disfigured ofcourse i would do that but to make myself prettier with cosmetic surgery i dunno.

Maybe when i'm older i will.

But the distingsion has to be made

#108015 by unknown[28146] at 2005-03-09 23:04:55 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Plastic surgery should be preformed by those who need it, and there certaintly shouldn't be a social stigma attached to it. Besides, it results in great benefits such as a higher GDP and more business for the law proffesion. These are benefits which we all, as citizens of a society, can partake in.

However, the effects of plastic surgery tend to depriciate rather rapidly. Therefore, plastic surgery is not  the miracle cure that  popular consensus makes it out to be.

#108042 by unknown[33937] at 2005-03-09 23:38:36 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

I think that people who perform a cosmetic surgerical enhancement to their body have a perfect image of themselves which they are trying to abtain via these kinds of surgical procedures but they will never get the exact result what they are looking for so they will do it over and over and over again. The addiction factor is maybe to high for this. Surgeons will need to be able to asses this. There is nothing wrong with cosmetic surgery as long as the surgeons are able not to overdo it.

"Nothing wrong with improving yourself"

Don't have any problems with my body, but if I had the money maybe I would fix or adjust a thing or two, nothing serious. Always room for improvements

#108463 by unknown[4097] at 2005-03-10 09:51:38 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

There is a disease called dysmorphia, wich means that the person has an extremely distorted view of themselves. How would a surgeon deal with this if heīs unaware of the problem. The disease can be more or less severe. I agree that reconstructive surgery is godsend for many people. Who am I to judge if a person would benefit or not by cosmetic surgery. But who should be the one deciding what is beautiful and not?

#108625 by frodesti (Power User) at 2005-03-10 12:47:37 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

most people better would improve their brain than their body.

#109023 by unknown[42372] at 2005-03-10 19:27:06 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

I guess I would, but not right now I wouldn't, happy as I am, but maybe if I had been in some kind of accident and some body part where hurt, then I would really like to fix it back...

#109190 by unknown[59900] at 2005-03-10 21:28:05 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

I would never consider plastic surgery!!
WOuld >YOU like to end up like Jacko?? (Michael Jackson) Dont think so!

Only if my face was badly damaged in a accident, then I would consider surgery...

#109298 by unknown[21373] at 2005-03-10 22:53:17 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

#110253 by unknown[63576] at 2005-03-11 18:56:03 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Yes, but only to hide my face.

#110529 by unknown[59203] at 2005-03-11 22:51:07 (8 years ago) - [Report]Top

Yes but only to hide....

I don't think that I am a strong enough person to continue life when I have horrible scares due to an accident. So I would have to go with yes but only... simply because I do not want people staring at me and I want te be able to live my life like I did before... for as far as I possibly could...

btw.... if I ever get stuck in a fire and have burns alll over my body and face... I don't think I wanna life at all... the pain, the people staring at you!....

Yes I am weak! God bless the people that are strong!
