@fash. Case is Antec p182 and I don't have enough cable to route around the back. At least it's a modular PSU

@Yinchie. My tv (32inch samsung c6510). I don't have much room so it's shared between PS3 and PC.

:S that wiring is a mess, is there no cable management in that case?

Looks like I might have to install my additional 240mm radiator for additional cooling and higher overclocks.

I have the i7 920 but I'm seriously looking into the new Sandybridge's. Them things are overclocking to 5GHz @ 1.35v

nah, to overwhelming social online 3.0 is making a mess of it.
real social friends are the real future, and social networks will break down after some events that have not taken place yet.

it could be some time, but life will go back to basic as humans are still tending to real offline social lifes.
to social online will go back to what it was before, just a mean to contact quickly and make plans

mmorpg's are quite idiotic as a source (other than how awesome this cloak of invisibility is)

not to mention on "AIR" that is... already ordered a maximus 4 extreme( b3 revision) and a 2600k... i'm interested in what the chip can do once i put it under water.

Waiting for X68  for high end performance and 6-core (LGA2011)

You can get 5 GHz with sandy bridge but not for daily use with the temps.
Also geting 5 GHz isn't that easy as you might think with sandy bridge. It isn't just upping the multiplier.

@MindTreat

NZXT sleeved white leds.
It is listed in my specs.

I'm still holding out for Bulldozer, if it can beat the intels on price and performance i'll change back to AMD. 8 cores

Let me rephrase that...

I'm holding out till X68, if it can beat the AMD Bulldozer, I stick with Intel

Release about Q4 2011.
AMD always have been slow, no matter how many cores they got

That is not true, before core duo family amd was beating intel constantly.

exactly, since the athlon 64 came out amd has always been faster than intel, only the core 2 series could put a stop to that, get your facts right yinchie .

Ah I remember the great days of cheap-ass AMD CPU's beathing the sh*t out of the over-priced Intels.

My good old Athlon XP 1800!  Great Days...

I mean he has psu upside down.. and it seems he has 2 exhaust fans and cpu fan blowing down?

Ok here is mine. I actually got the gfx card like 2 months ago since my old one went in for rma.
Old cpu cooler from P4 but i bought a 120mm coolermaster fan and attached with cable ties because i am cheap.

Funny, I've heard the exact oposite. I know not every chip can reach 5GHz on air, but many can - stable.

With water cooling you have even more leg room.

I've also heard that it couldn't be easier overclocking the new Sandybridges.

Yinchie wrote:

It's Yinchie you know, when his "pro'ness" says it's not possible to oc sandy to 5 ghz for daily use, it's just not possible .

#1391109 by YinchieDonor (Power User) at 2011-04-05 22:32:00 (2 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

Good luck then proving me wrong by just upping the multiplier. it is a no go.
You have to change a lot of voltages and most common users can't get it to 5 GHz.

And the temps aren't good for daily use, lowers life of the CPU.

And Picard, you are probably just some idiot who has low end systems who never tried stuff out. Poor cheap lad?
All you get your info from is from reading websites?
