My new water cooling setup.
AMD Phenom II 940 BE
2 x Ati HD3870 in crossfire
4x 2gb 1066 ram

I hooked up a new Thermaltake Bigwater 780e with an old Zalman reserator I had.

I know it's not the best gaming computer, but it plays newer games fine on mid settings xD

loving the tissue

Get a Koolance top for that pump tbh, makes it a even prettier bling through the window
I have one of those tops, you can see it in my profile.
Downside is, the top is a bit pricey but worth it, just for the bling and or more options where you wish to plug the tubes (2 ins, 2 outs, different locations).

Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultima wc set pcgamer

#1308887 by pcgamerDonor (User) at 2010-07-17 19:18:10 (3 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

Thanks Jam

@yinchie: I probably won't spend money on this pc for a while, that pump head is cool and all but a pointless upgrade for me. "Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultima wc set" I wouldn't generalize it as a "oh a damn water cooling kit, kits are bad" but rather a great collection of WC parts in one shipment. Didn't want anything more nor wanted to cheap out on the parts so this $300 package did good.

My current setup after a moment of weakness after testing Mass Effect 2, WoW and Need for speed shift in 3-head at a friend's place....

i7 cpu
4gb ram (dont need more yet)
80gb SSD as system drive (and selected high performance games)
2x 1tb hd

ATI 5870
BenQ displays running at 1920x1080 for a resolution of 5760x1080 in Eyefinity.

Runs WoW at 100+fps in Dalaran during primetime *chuckles*

Over in the corner I have a fileserver with 4x 2tb 'green' drives running in raid5 for a total of 6tb of redundant storage. The fileserver is also connected to my 42" TV sitting next to the  rig:
