The CoolIT is VERY loud.
So the H50 would be a better choice between the two.

No it isn't I've got 1 running now you cant hear it at all so don't bs please.

#1279233 by Snuffsis (Power User) at 2010-05-08 16:21:05 (3 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

the H50 would still probably be the better choice compared to any kind of fan.
It's a very good cooler if you can't afford something expensive and want to keep your PC quiet.

The H50 also has a fan for the rad just like the CoolIT ALC so your point is invalid If something performs the same or even better and is nearly 20 quid cheaper its an easy choice surely...

Not same fan...
Also every review I read and from users I know, they all say the H50 runs more silent.

Anyways at the end H50 and the CoolIt isn't better than the top air coolers such as Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme on a overclocked system.

I've been a old user of the H50 and Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme.

p.s. Not to mention it looks ugly tbh

They may not be as good but its only a difference of 1-2 degrees. My i5 750 can run at 4ghz 1.32v and never goes above 70 degrees running intel burn test and never above 60 degrees in normal use, both excellent temps for an i5 750. As for looks I really can't comment as I don't have a pc for looking at..

My pics coming up in a few hours, need to clean up my room, such a mess now haha.

My temps atm idle (Water Cooling):

- CPU (Intel Core i7 920 D0) : 28-31 Celcius.
- GPU (GTX480): 32-38 Celcius

that's very good. is the cpu oc'd?

#1279467 by YinchieDonor (Power User) at 2010-05-09 00:10:31 (3 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

Those were non overclock temps.

Now I have overclocked it again...
Those temps have changed now and also since the ambient temperature of my room have changed.

So I have been running benchmarks for quite some time now...
Water temperature ended up at 35.9 Celcius, slowly dropping back to its usual temp at around 26-29 Celcius.

CPU @ 4.2GHz 1.38V
GPU Clock/Shader/Memory @ 850/1700/2000MHz 1.075V

Note: CPU and GPU and northbridge, southbridge and mosfets are liquid cooled in a SINGLE loop.
And the thermal paste still need to set in.

CPU Idle: 40<42 Celcius (jumping between the cores)
GPU Idle: 48 Celcius

CPU Load (OCCT): 63<67 Celcius (jumping between the cores)
CPU Load (Linx Benchmark/OCCT Linpack): 70 Celcius
(high, but I might know why, can't fix it till I can get myself a replacement CPU water block backplate, the cpu water block isn't tightly fit if I am right since I am not using the included backplate but a old one that doesn't allow me to screw it on fully, using old one from my air cooler atm since there was a issue with the one included of the water block)

GPU Load (Vantage/Heaven/normal gaming): 68 Celcius
GPU Load (Furmark): 74 Celcius
GPU PCB temp: 38 Celcius

Let there be blue leds

Yeah, thought so too, but furmark temperatures you will rarely ever get in a "real life" application such as games.

Here is a pic of the back of my case.

Here is a new review of same GFX card with same water cool block.
Well nearly same cool block, mine is copper that one is nickel plated.

http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-g … n-review/7

Their peak temperature is 49 Celcius, with just the card in the water loop only.

Thanks...

Found out that I still had some air in my radiators, managed to get them all out, my temps dropped by 5 Celcius.

Got a stable Oc on my AMD X2 5200+
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1188611

temps are no higher than 50c on a Arctic cooling freezer pro rev 2. might try and get it to 3ghz stable.

weaker? not much out there what could beat that thing when overclocked except a six core i7. oc the cpu to 4 ghz and switch the gpu to a 5870 and it is kickass again .

My new water cooling setup.
AMD Phenom II 940 BE
2 x Ati HD3870 in crossfire
4 x 2gb 1066 ram

I hooked up a new Thermaltake Bigwater 780e with an old Zalman reserator I had.

I know it's not the best gaming computer, but it plays newer games fine on mid settings xD

or leak testing.

Lol ya it was a 24 hr leak test.

The computer was sitting in the middle of my living room.

Didn't want anything to spill onto the carpet.. so the paper tower was just a precaution =p
