That is one big air cooler you have there, does it weight like 2KG or something?

Hmm doesn't the memory sticks get hot? since I see no heatspreader or anything like that.
Or aren't they "overclock" memory?

Heh, the heatsink is rather heavy yeah.. But it's mounted pretty well, so I'm not that worried. I wouldn't wanna throw my case around to test it out though :p

The memory gets pretty cooking, yeah. It's just standard DDR3 1333 RAM, so it doesn't need heatspreaders. I got it for free, so I'm not really complaining

Havent found the need to upgrade as yet still able to max out any game with a minimum of 30 fps depending on what res i set.
Might get new graphics but it depends on any new games,
Nothing out yet where the graphics are anygood.
Were still behind uncharted 2 and it hurts to say that.

A ton of work went into that game gets 10/10 from me
And yeah would be even beter on the pc 2560 x 1600 res would be nice to play it on

Yeah AGES ago just didn't install it yet since I was waiting for some spare money (yes i got more things to pay than just hardware...) to buy all the rest, since I obviously need a extra radiator and such.

My huge package arrives tomorrow by GLS than I can get started. Everything bought from HighFlow.nl
So I will be installing the block and everything else tomorrow, like bigger tubings and better tubings, additional radiator, new and stronger pump, new fittings to fit the bigger tubings from Tygon 1/2".
Sleeving some cables as well, thx to Million Dollar PC for their awesome sleeves.

My setup is still not done though, at a later status when my budget allows me I add another pump and another radiator for additional cooling.

The pump is pricey, since I buy a additional 3rd party top to make it look nicer than the standard pump look.

The Pump (~85 Euro)

The 3rd party top (~50 Euro)

The top costs more than half the price of the pump.

And also slowly changing all fittings to Bitspower fittings, got several right now but my budget does not allow me to get them all at same time, since those Bitspower fittings are quite expensive, they range from 8-14 Euro a piece. So I gotten myself Feser fittings, they are around 3 Euro cheaper, second best fittings.

Got to buy myself a dremel too, a other time so I can mod my Corsair Obsidian 800D, to fit a 240mm radiator at the bottom.
And make my custom backplate for the motherboard to make it look smoother and cleaner.

And no, for those who wonder, I am not doing all this just to cool my GTX480.
TBH I just feel the need to do it... Helps nice with overclocking and a silent system (even with all the fans running, but running them on 900-1100RPM you won't hear them)

My expensive hobby

Excuse the bad quality of the pictures, I had bad lightning and I do not own a good camera...

Some new junk, some I didn't end up using...

DangerDen GTX480 water cool block installed...

This image has been resized, click here to view the full-sized image.

Started installing some things and removing things at same time...
The bracket I bought to be placed at the back of the case to hold up the radiator and fan failed to include the right sized screws so I just used the 140mm Noctua fan as the bracket to hold the radiator.
Later on I plan to move the radiator inside my Corsair Obsidian 800D case once I gotten myself a dremel.

This image has been resized, click here to view the full-sized image.

The complete look, not totally finished yet though, still need to sleeve a few things and perhaps tweak some stuff and get myself a better looking IDE cable for my DVD drive.
And getting a extra Noctua fan so my 240mm radiator holds 2x 140mm Noctua fans instead of 1x and yes the 240mm fan can hold 2x 140mm Noctua fans

This image has been resized, click here to view the full-sized image.

Not finished yet, in future planning to make a custom backplate so it looks smoother and cleaner.
And perhaps get a motherboard that is less bright, less blue colour

Getting Corsair Dominator GT memory with the Corsair memory fan, might water cool the memory as well with a MIPS water block.

Those wondering what that fitting is doing below my reservoir... I use that for now to add more stability to the reservoir till I get the mood to drill 2 holes to screw the reservoir on.
Atm the reservoir is sticked to the case with velcro strips.

More pics...

Around 5K Euro, including my screens etc.
Water cooling alone costs me 800<900 Euro.

The H50 performs as good as the best air coolers.
I used to use it but kinda disappointed, than I felt the need to use proper liquid cooling

The CoolIT ALC performs just as good if not better than the H50 and costs less.
