Tutorial for putting a stat counter in your profile

step 1) Sign up at www.statcounter.com

step 2) Click on "Add New Project" and select "Add Standard StatCounter Project"

step 3) Put in any website title, and any website url

step 4) Pick any category

step 5) Put your IP in the IP Blocking (only if you have a static ip)

step 6) Click Create Project

step 7) Click Install Code

step 8) In the code, take the third line from the bottom, it should look a little something like this (but not exactly): src="http://c5.statcounter.com/counter.php?sc_project=1234521&java=0&security=1234512"

step 9) The code needs to be changed since they introduced a security feature. Change the code from its original src="http://c5.statcounter.com/counter.php?sc_project=1234521&java=0&security=1234512” to something like this
src="http://c5.statcounter.com/counter.php?sc_project=1234521&security=1234512" all that was removed was amp;java=0&

step 10) At the beginning of the line, replace src=" with [img= , and at the end, replace the " with &java=0.jpg]

step 11) Put this newly edited line in your profile, and it will list the number of page reloads (you can also edit it to only show the number of unique visitors)

Step 1) First, you need a webhost that supports PHP & allows hotlinking, like http://www.tripod.lycos.nl/ (Dutch)

Step 2) Sign up here (if you want to use lycos.nl) http://www.tripod.lycos.nl/signup/signup.phtml (Translated into english for reference only here)

Step 3) Then log in to your FTP account. You will need an FTP client.

Step 4) Create a new directory (not necessary)

Step 5) Download this zip file, extract it, and you will get a .php file http://automaticlabs.com/downloads/rotator.zip

Step 6) Then upload the .php file to the directory where your pictures will be.

Step 7) Then upload all the pictures you have to that same directory

Step 8) Then make the url to the .php file as your avatar URL

Rule

Resize your avatar images to a maximum width of 150 px, a maximum height of 300 px and a size of no more than 150 KB.
Some of the settings in the dynamic avatars can yield an avatar lager than what the rules state.

if any of u using tazeats script you'll be happy to know that he has updated it

02/28/05 Fixed active torrents due to the addition of the connectable piece
03/02/05 Added all pregs to work with all users, thanx to Sphinx2k for the missing pregs i was too lazy to write.
As of today (03/02/05) all pregs work with all users (user/power user, and should work with mods but i can't check)

and can get it at the usally place

you may have to find another host other then the one listed.
