Eh had it moments, but wasnt nearly as good as his other movies. And of course they had to throw in a American to be the bad guy, I mean come on that's a bit of a reach.

why is it? and it was directed by an american, david shwimmer from friends

Its just a lazy way to establish the "bad guy" since in the UK it doesn't require any explanation other than he is American so go ahead hate him from the get go. Not to mention it was a totally missed opportunity since Hank Azaria does a great French accent and that would have played 100x better from a comedic stand point.

its a fair point m8 but how about uk being the bad guy in most films for the last 20years with no explanation

the circle of life

r

That's not really a hit on the UK only that with American audiences the British accent is the universal "foreign" accent. So as long as you can do a British accent you can play any Euro centric part and come off authentic.

Rambo (the new one) - 7/10 the score i gave is about as high as i give for a plain action blood-thirsty film...so i guess this is about as good as they get, so definitely worth the watch if you're in to that sort of film.  It was entertaining, but of course, rather disturbing in places

Seraphim Falls

8/10 - Another great performance by Brosnan. And the movie is much better than 3.10 to Yuma.

No. Just England and Scotland is really close and they don't sound alike...

The Nines <== 2/10... what a load of crap. but yes, I don't like Sci-fi movies and yes, I understood the movie, I think. 1,5h wasted.

The Hunting Party <== 8/10 Great story, maybe not a comedy as was written on IMDb but sometimes funny.

Across the Universe - 8/10

Movie that highlights music from almost 40 years ago is infinitely better than the crap we have today.

Dan in Real Life 8.5/10
It was actually pretty good. Not the most sophisticated plot but it's not supposed to be, either. And if you don't like Steve Carell, then you must have no heart at all

No Country for Old Men: 7/10 :  I thought it was good acting and a cool story but I hate movies that don't provide any real resolution.  I thought Javier Bardem was great.  Creepy haircut!!!!

True but I thought the story wandered too much and Bono and Salma didn't really do it for me either..still give it a 7/10

Death at a Funeral 7/10 . Started slow but picks up quite nicely at the end.

We own the night 5/10 Good actors involved but the story was shite. Draws a lot of comparisons to The Departed but the Departed despite being a ripoff of the original is decidedly much better.

30 days of night. 4/10. One or two interesting moments but turned out shitty as well.No boobies meant it was gonna be a disaster as well.
