The Call (2013)
Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin from LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE were the leads.
It was mostly a better than average "phone call for help" movie but it was let down by a stupid and improbable ending.
Wasted potential for a thriller but still not bad.

6/10

Dead Man Down (2013)
A slow burn revenge movie with two good performances, Colin Farrell and the actress from Prometheus movie who stapled her stomach back together.

An pretty decent action movie with an over the top ending.

6.5/10

Female Prisoner: Caged (1983)

Japanese WIP with way too much softcorn porn in it in and way too little violence. Last 20 minutes were great though, and the female warden's extremely sexy so I'll give it

2,5/5

The.Incredible.Burt.Wonderstone.2013

Reasonably amusing thanks to Steve Carroll and Jim Carey but needed more funny bits and Steve Buscemi seems out of place in this.

5/10

A Good day to die hard

Why? All Bruce said in this movie was "Holy shit!" and "JEESUS!"

3/10 + it made me angry and depressed.

I just saw a movie i thought i seen before, but i had not.
It was one of the worst movies i have ever seen!!!
Star Trek the motion picture 1979
it was so bad i think only the angry video game nerd could say the worlds needed to be said about this "#¤%!!

like 20 minutes of the film is captain kirk in a ferry going around in a circle , VERY slow around a new Enterprise......, i had to forward with the mouse, and he kept looking at the same damn ship everyone seen before(the tv show), almost like this was some 3D movie where they show off some new technique.....
and then they looked at a blue cloud for an hour or so, they the cloud opened and they look at a blue vagina for 30min

it was so dull!!!
I loved the wrath of khan and seen it so many times, but thought i wanted to see the first one.........big misstake

so yea it was baaad, even worse than those movies recorded with a telephone and no professional editing

0,2/100

yea they had a horrible cutter or what they are called who cut the whole movie and make it 1

you could tell that some connecting scenes where filmed on different days just because he said jesus 3 times in a row, so bruce prolly forgot he said it or which scene it was and then they cut it like this and it becomes crap

That is a combination of your "generation y" a.d.d where you zone out if there isnt a fast cut every 5 sec with ear pounding techno music and not realizing that it was the ultimate reward for all those trek fans that had waited over a decade for star trek to come back to see every inch of the Enterprise in fullscreen movie glory. Dont forget for most everyone at the time there was no other way to see something like that but to buy a ticket to see a movie, so why not give them their moneys worth?

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted - 5/10

I loved the first two, but this one doesn't even come close. I can't believe it has a better rating on IMDb (less votes, but still).

Fake Die Hard   -   1/10

Turned it off 5min into the ridiculous open car chase scene where John McClane is now the typical lame Bond/Bourne superhuman who can do and walk away from anything with only a few smudges of dirty on his cloths and face.

Yeah, because the John McClane character was such an ordinary man in the earlier movies... I mean it's not like he stood up and walked away after jumping from a bridge down on the deck of a ship or anything like that...

The Call - 6.5/10. I'd certainly recommend it. The last 20 minutes were a bit of a let down but the film was really intense overall.

The first had an "if everything breaks your way this can totally work" believability to it. All of them since than rely completely on superhuman mechanics and the last is just so far removed it is laughable.

The Great Gatsby - 9.5/10

The soundtrack threw me for a moment, but it actually works. The acting is on par.

I'd forgotten how cute Carey Mulligan was...

How old are you again?

His description of the first 20 minutes is accurate , speaking from memory wasn't the Next Generation theme (obviously it is a tune from this movie and not the theme, but we all know it as the theme) droned on for that 20 minutes ?

That movie tried so hard to take from 2001: A Space Odyssey (a movie 11 years older!) with that slow paced style at the stat and failed so miserably and pathetically, even when the movie was released it was crap and somehow outdated.

Now considering this movie was released the same year as Alien or even Moonraker (james bond) it really was piss poor and fuking boring, the artsy fartsy nonsense was shite, even back then!

So the question should be how old are you d3vnull?

Incidentally I thought it was one of the poorest star trek movies and from that pheonix I am surprised they made anything else star trek, piss poor effort  and a real bad start.
