The Thin Red Line - 6/10 - Strange. Serene, haunting, and damn preachy. The sound and visuals are superb.

Its Jason Statham you only expect one thing action and brainless story but its all that needed 6/10.

Dont say you expected a 9/10 his been doing these movies for years now.

Star Trek: Into Darkness : 8/10

Not a trekkie, but it was enjoyable. Never felt bored during the movie, stunning visuals and sound.

Cumberbatch really showed his acting-skills 110%, superb !

Kinda "basic" plot, but it somewhat worked.

All in all a good movie !

Grown Ups         6/10

Had no expectations at all of this movie. Thought it would suck.
Selma Hayek and Chris Rock were terrible, but this was surprisingly a pretty decent 'feel good movie'! Liked it somehow!

Star Trek: Into Darkness - 8/10

Beautifully done movie. I gotta say that everything from the set design, costumes, CGI, down to the alien design was stunning. I even kinda liked the new look Klingons.

Cumberbatch was a bit over the top imho but I guess that's the character still very scary and a bit of a shame I was kinda hoping to root for the character at one point.

I really wanted to high five someone when they mentioned Section 31, I so want them to flesh that part of starfleet out in it's own movie or series.

Oh and great ending, the big mission begins now, can't wait for more. I also hope they remember the whole prime directive violation and bring that back in future movies or a TV series.

Parker: 6/10  oddly entertaining
Jack Reacher : 7/10 had a lot of fun. I would liken this to taken
The place beyond the pines: 6/10 oddly intriguing
Hansel and Gretel: 4/10 Wasn't very entertaining but the graphics and concept were cool
The Host: 3/10  Twilight 2.0 imo
Beautiful Creatures: 2/10 had to turn it off midway through.

The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc - 7/10 - Quite enjoyable although for the wrong reasons - meaning the jokes and French knights fighting. Would watch a Hundred Years' War movie about their adventures!

Superman Unbound - 7/10 - This is kind of an unexpected dip in quality for DC animated movies which are so good that usually I'd rather watch them than any live action comic book movie but this one was little off. Still it good just not the greatness I've come to expect

I suppose that when you think about it, it's kinda a big part of the movie.

The Duellists - 7/10 - That was lovely. Better story than Barry Lyndon, and only a tiny bit less impressive to look at. Where are all the historical films these days?

Jack Reacher - 7/10 - I didn't like the tone or the characters. Jack Reacher is a weird character I found it hard to root for him, he just seems poorly conceived imho and there's these annoying bits where it seems the only point is to show how cool this guy is but it's annoying like deciding the right time to have a fist fight is during a rescue. The film isn't awful and it's fairly entertaining but should have been better.

The Cat O'Nine Tails (1971)

Good giallo, could've done with some more violence though.

8/10

Zero Dark Thirty - 7/10 - A very serious movie but it has to be with it being based on real history unfortunately it's a bit slow and tedious at times, gotta admit I was wee bit bored but it was a quality movie and gets better in the second half.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) - 7/10 - Not bad at all. If you have a short attention span like me then you'll get a bit lost but stick with it, it's a rewarding ride and Michelle Monaghan is naked so happy days

warm.bodies.2013.webrip.xvid-ac3-millenium

9.5/10... dare I say 10?

This was brilliant from start to finish, kept me entertained and gripped and left me wanting more of this kind of originality.

Contender for my favourite file of 2013, easily.

A Good Day to Die Hard - 5/10

I'm not a hater, and I've really enjoyed all of the previous movies, but this one just isn't worth the Die Hard title. It's overpacked with pointless CGI, and the storyline is just filled with plot holes.

I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt, and see the extended version when it arrives.

Warm Bodies - 8/10 - Bit silly but very nicely done and I really liked the bonies, much more interesting than them simply decaying.

Elizabeth - 7/10 - A good history lesson for someone like me who can barely tolerate anything past what I deem contemporary history. Bit disappointing to read the wiki and see how many things they changed which I don't think they needed to, still really well done.
