Sinister - 7/10

The last 10-15 years i've only seen a handful of movies that actually creeped me out. The Ring (US), White Noise, Shutter (Thailand), to mention some of them, and now Sinister. Great creepy atmosphere (sound, music, style, etc.) and some great scares. Sure, jump scares can be very annoying and lame in most movies, but in Sinister they actually did it right. Best horror in years and i've seen many.

Denzel with the standard strong performance. Took off points for the "love story" plot that seemed like they crammed in after the fact.

Skyfall - 7/10 - Fantastic cinematography, I mean camera, editing, that kind of stuff, particularly in the first half. But something was off. The best Bond 'motion picture', but a fairly uninteresting 'movie' or 'story'. And I don't even mean it as 'a Bond story', just the atmosphere, plot, writing in general, things like that.

Denzel was brilliant as per usual. The crash scene was really intense.

I agree! Just seen Sinister and I'm rating it a 9/10. No questions left unanswered, proper horror movie like it's supposed to be. Great movie :bow:

Argo - 6/10 - It was entertaining enough, it's good to see a 20th century history movie, and it pulled off the thrill and drama... but I was disappointed. Reviews made it sound like an Oscar contender. Instead it was fairly shallow, at times cheap, and over really fast.

Watching the TV adverts for Looper saying what a great movie it is i had to see it.

Now i would usually give a move at least 1 for trying but come on when there is nothing to rate why lie.
