Came home from the cinema few hours ago, watching Django Unchained.

Django Unchained 7.9/10

I liked it, bit too long for my taste though. And the soundtracks were good!

TED 6/10
Funny first half hour, but then it is chuckles after that. I guess I'm too old for smoking-weed-and-add-commentary plot movies. Basically just Peter Griffin and some of the cast from FG even using the same jokes, like the fight between Peter and the bird, stewie commenting on the fish, Meg not part of the team.. and yes the double entendres about MacFarlane being gay. And when does poor Mila Kunis ever get away from the evil clutches of MacFarlane?

Django Unchained - 10/10 - Tarantino is one of my favourite directors anyway, but this movie, could not have been any better, so full marks.

Life of Pi (2012)
Part adventure, part fantasy with incredible animal CGI.
I liked the twist at the end.

7/10

Seven Psychopaths (2012)
Some funny characters and good acting but you can't help but feel that it could have have been something better.

6.5/10

Django Unchained - 7/10 - Kinda enjoyed it but it was way too long & I didn't find the ending that satisfying.

I got a P2P version I'm pretty sure this was it: Here.Comes.the.Boom.2012.720p.BRRiP.XViD.AC3-LEGi0N

I was really enjoying the movie till that dreaded message came up.  Ill watch it through my NAS.

Here comes the boom   7/10  - bas Rutten made this movie awesome, kinda funny that the most accurate depiction of UFC and MMA is a comedy, not one of those fighter movies..

Holy Motors     8.5/10 - Kinda hard to say why it's so good, it's so weird, so different. Someone give that main actor an Oscar, can't believe I was watching the same man throughout the entire movie.

For being one of those kinds of movies it was actually pretty entertaining.

The Hobbit 7/10 -
Very small seven, just because I'm a fan of the original trilogy. Like my brother said when we walked out the cinema... the magic is gone. First the good stuff though. Awesome intro that gave me chills and makes you think back to the Fellowship of the Ring. But imo there is not much good stuff after that. Man.. Radagast is a kook. Birdshit on his face, resuscitating porcupines, riding the rabbit train to wonderland or wherever he was off to. That Narnia-shit didn't turn me on. Also, if I remember correctly it wasn't Radagast that discovered Sauron at Dol Goldur, or maybe I'm wrong, either way I don't remember from the mythology that he was THAT crazy. The action scenes didn't have a point other than to show off. The 3d and 48 per second screen rate did work though, didn't have a problem with that. However too much cgi and the Lord of the Rings took advantage of good old fashion costumes and make-up much better. Bah. Too slow, too much singing and I could go on.

Agree on the Hobbit, to be honest though, I've got a feeling that it's a much better movie in the comfort of your own home, in 2d.
Radagast pissed me off aswell, just pfff! And that god damn same eagle saves us crap as in LotR

Nope, I watched it in the comfort of my own home, in 2D and it was still slow with way too much cgi and left me feeling dissapointed. I felt that it was about an hour too long.
If I wanted all that singing I would have watched les miserables.
I was thinking it would possibly be better in the cinema in 3D
Guess it is just a dull movie

5/10

The Way We Live Now - 7/10 - That was quite enjoyable! I was hoping for a bit more of a realistic period drama but the whole theatre play/satire feeling was very good. A lovely study in character with lovely (and despicable) characters.
