Looper - 5/10 - It was okay, I guess. But also... I don't know, something was way off. Can't put my finger on it though. Like it tried to do many things at once but pulled off none completely? Don't know. That's not it. Not entirely anyway.

The Campaign - 9/10 (Hilariously funny, witty & awesome)

The Amazing Spiderman - 7/10 (Better than all those shit Toby Maguire ones)

The Anchorman - 11/10 (I was in splits) :thumbsup:

Outland - 6/10 - You want to call it your average, run of the mill sci-fi movie but then you realize there are very few run of the mill sci-fi movies! Liked the down to earth (or Jupiter?), realistic take on things.

With Fire and Sword - 7/10 - Delicious Polish hussars and cossacks and sabres and Tatars and cannons. A bit too lighthearted at times but great historical fun, which leads me to...

Kingdom of Heaven - 8/10 - The director's cut. Whatever happened to epic historical movies? Or even historical movies in general. You don't even see films like The Patriot anymore.

The Hobbit - Absolutely loved it, at first it was a bit weird wih the whole 48fps rate but you soon get used to it and i really enjoyed the film, cant wait for the next 2

Lockout - 6/10

Some hilariously bad effects at the start, but the movie was surprisingly entertaining. And with some pretty witty dialogue as well.

Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) - 7/10 - Very sweet, quite silly and had an almost perfect ending, really enjoyed it.

Battle of Warsaw 1920 - 4/10 - Gets an extra point for being, you know, a war film about a super interesting bit of history, but otherwise it was a bit too cheap and cheesy at times, and disjointed at others. Still, watchable.

Admiral - 5/10 - While being a much bigger production than the above, the pacing and focus on romance dragged it down somewhat. Battle of Warsaw was more fun, but this was more of a historical film, if that makes any sense.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - 4/10 - Oh my god what did I just watch is this drugs is this bat country is this even a movie but Johnny Depp was cool as this junkie journo fellow and the monologues were crazy and the whole movie was like whoa but why?

12 Angry Men - 7/10 - It was surprisingly good and compact and gripping for an old film but ultimately not that great and the bad guys were walking cliche machines. Could have used more subtlety.

North by Northwest - 4/10 - The what, fifty year gap was a much bigger problem here. I guess the ideas of a thriller back then and now are just too different. Grant and the basic premise were good, the execution - just not that interesting.

I just finished "Flight", starring Denzel Washington. It was good. But I'm a fan of Big Daddy D. 8/10

Before that I watched "Lay the Favorite" That was pretty good too. I would recommend it if for no other reason than for Laura Prepon's topless sunbathing scene. Yummy. 7/10

I actually enjoyed the new "Dredd", believe it or not. I didn't care for the constant forced scowling though, made my face hurt just watching it. Sly was way better in that dept. Was definitely entertaining, which is all I feel I can ask of a book/movie/song/etc. 7/10

Ben Hur - 9/10 - Truly an epic movie. The Jesus angle came a bit out of left field, the last part I mean, when it intertwines - no, takes over actually. When it was just present but not the main focus, it was better. What a story.

Dredd (2012)

A decent action movie with a few interesting characters, including Dredd's deadpan delivery.
The pacing was good, it's brutal and, even though the plot was on the thin side, it was entertaining.

Sushi Girl: 7/10 Surprisingly good B crime movie.

The Imposter 7.5/10 Interesting documentary about someone pretending to be a missing child. Cool twist and intriguing story.

Flight 6.5/10 Ok Denzel movie about a gifted drunken pilot.

Pulp Fiction 10/10 A timeless classic.

Dredd 7.5/10 One of the best comic-themed movies ever made that most people never saw. Terrific action and nicely crafted dystopian world.

Lockout: DOGSHIT/10 Don't bother.

Nameless Gangster: 7/10 Enjoyable but slow Korean gangster movie.

Home: Dredd (2012)

I'd give it a 7/10. Decent action, the Dredd in this looked like Stallone, good job with never taking his helmet off.

Movies: Sinister (2012)

Went to see this in the big screen with my date. Other than having couple of girls scream in the audience, it was a decent horror movie. Giving it 8/10 due to a slow, sometimes 'treading in place' story.

Cloud Atlas 8.5/10
I really enjoyed how all the stories were tied to one another. All of them revolve around greed and violence, kindness and sympathy without coming off as cheap or contrived. Well, all except for one, which was clearly written as comic relief

Some of the cross race/gender make up wasn't very convincing, such as Hugo Weaving as a female nurse.
But overall, highly recommended.

better than I expected, but it was basically a high end ripoff of that Indonesian action movie.
