The Descendants - 7/10 - A bit strange but really good.

We Need To Talk About Kevin - 8/10 - Wow! Fucking hell no way am I having kids. I'd be terrified they'd grow up to be huge disappointments or even little shits but hey what about Psycho/Sociopaths. Nobody ever asks what if you simply don't like your kid or if your kid doesn't like you and that seems to have been like half the problem with the mother's relationship with her child in this movie. Each of the actors who portray Kevin are absolutely terrifying but the torment his mother suffers throughout is just insane and what an ending, truly shocking. Good movie now off to find out how much a vasectomy costs.

Honestly, if you've seen one movie about a party that goes to over the top, you've seen them all. Didn't find a single part of it amusing or funny, it just seemed like a rehashed The Hangover.

I'm a hardcore sci fi fan, as well as a hardcore Alien movie fan, and this movie just blew my head. It should have been longer, or even divided into 2 movies, it could have been even more epic. For Sci Fi and Alien fans, its a must!

It was ok. Tbh I think the original one 5 years ago or whatever was actually alot better. I am really surprised. I thought this one was going to be alot better then that one.

The Cabin In The Woods - 6/10 - Interesting concept but I'm not sure it's really a good movie plus I just thought the ending was silly but it's a hugely popular movie. Clearly I'm outta sync with the majority on quite a few movies lately

Friends With Kids - 7/10 - Probably the best romcom I've seen in years, good stuff.

Anyway I thought it was good for a genre that is so samey & Mark Kermode's review, I felt was pretty much spot on
