The Iron lady - 6.5/10...I expected more from this movie much,much more.The story it`s a bit poor.Margaret Thatcher was (is) a very powerful and controversial personality and somehow the screenplay fail to show that.Instead of highlighting Thatcher's achievements, Hollywood choose to exploit her present condition and to show us how an old women try to struggle with dementia ,a condition she has kept from the public and tried to be extremely private about. Meryl Streep's performance was exceptional basically she saved the movie.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close 3/10

When I saw the trailer for this I was exited, when I heard it was nominated for an oscar I couldnt wait to see it, when DVDSCR appeared on the net I was overjoyed, when I watched it I was dissapointed.

It should have been called extremely annoying and incredibly spoiled. The lead character with whom we are suppose to emotionally relate is this spoiled little kid that is beyond annoying, he swears at adults, he tells his mother he wished she was dead instead of his father, he slaps her in the face in the middle of the night to wake her up to ask stupid questions, he hides under beds while his parents are looking for him, he says these smart ass remarks that makes you want to smack him in the head. Basically everything your taught not to do as a child, he does, which makes him a very un-likeable character and hard to relate to therefore you dont get that emotionally drawn in even though some of the scenes are tear jerkers, it stirred no emotions in me. Also there is a giant lack of common sense in this film, the kid is maybe 8 or 9 years old yet he wanders around NYC meeting strangers of all kinds. I usually just post a rating and a few short words but because I had such high hopes for this film I felt so let down that I had to vent and write this paragraph.

edit: ohh and if you dislike the sound of a tambourine dont even think about watching this movie he shakes a tambourine during 60% of the film.

A movie about a fascinating historical person that somehow Eastwood managed to make a pretty boring tale out of. Points are mostly for Leo. He's rather good in this.

Typical Clint Eastwood film.This was pretty good, Leonardo DiCaprio was very good in the title role.
Shame that the makeup was a 'a bit dodge'...but nothing's perfect, eh?
