Immortals - 7/10

A solid action movie, in which the action scenes are really well made so it's worth seeing in 3D, but the second half of the movie feels rushed and the bow doesn't really have any big impact. Mickey Rourke is fantastic tho.

Taxi Driver - 7.5/10

It was my first time watching this classic, and I must be honest: I expected more. Sure, the plot was good, the production was awesome, and De Niro's performance was brilliant, but there was just something missing. I'm not by any chance saying it was a bad movie, but I guess it just didn't live up to my expectations.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows - 8.5/10

2-minute review:

This sequel follows hot on the foot of the first one and right from the offset there is action, thriller, mystery and comedy all wrapped up in one and they all dance with each other as if it was to a beautiful ballad. Guy Ritchie, as much as some of his movies prove otherwise, is an utterly bloody magnificent director. Robert Downey blah blah & Jude Law portray their characters flawlessly and have excellent on-screen chemistry like in the first one. The action scenes are gripping and the "premonition" scenes & slow-mo ones add an extra depth and dimension to the movie. The suspense and mystery is thrilling and will keep you on the edge of your seat - I constantly found myself 'trying' to think as Holmes and it was fascinating being proved right or wrong.

The ending for this movie was executed magnificently. These days I'm often left disappointed with endings but I really do think the ending was one of the movies best parts.

My score of 8.5 I feel is fully justified and would have scored higher if there was a little more thought put into

Ms. Adler's role in the movie. I feel her death was very premature and considering how major of a part she was in the first movie, I feel her part in this one was cut too short. I do realise it put things in motion but I didn't think her death was justified in the way it happened and also believe her death should have been marked with an explanation mark rather than a question mark... I was half expecting her to pop out from behind a wall and go "boo" to Holmes.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - 8.5/10

This might still be the hype talking, but this is one of the best action movies in recent years. There are some good suspense moments, a lot of well made action/fighting/shooting scenes, and even plenty of comedy (perhaps one scene too many). Mix these up with a solid plot, and those two hours just flew by. The ending could be better, but whatever the case, I wouldn't give it less than an 8.

Wouldn't say I'm an avid TinTin fan but I remember watching it on Channel 4 in my youth lol so I enjoyed the ride.
