Its a Disney one so you get all the mandatory singing nonsense which ruins these movies for adults. Other than that its was enjoyable, the horse was great.

+1...6/10

ye , singing was the weakest side of that movie ,because of that i felt like im waaay too old for that one

could have been so much more.  basic story line and for 2hrs not much really happened

but it looked great and was nice to visit and associate with nostalgia

The Next Three Days  (2010)
A very good thriller about an ordinary teacher who develops an elaborate plan to break out his wife from prison.  The first half is a good kind of slow burn to set up the movie and it's characters and the second half picks up the pace with some pretty good suspense.

Liam Neeson only gets one scene early on but it's the point of the movie that tells you that this is going to be quite good.
I didn't think there were any stand out performances but the acting was solid from several of the cast and the story was intriguing.

7.5/10

The Mechanic (2011)
A reasonable action movie from Stantham but it's nothing memorable.
I haven't seen the original so can't compare.

Black Swan - 9/10
What an astonishingly beautiful movie. Natalia's acting was breath-taking, the story was thrilling, the directing was remarkable. Not really much to put a finger on in this movie. This is worth watching twice just because of how elegant, seductive and pretty it was.

Morning Glory (2010)

It's about this bright eyed and bushy tailed Morning TV Show executive who is full of zip and always has a positive attitude even though the ratings are bad.
She's cute and a little dynamo.

She basically uses her naivety and her energy to try to lift the workers and the show.  There's a couple of quirky characters which produce a few laughs and some of the behind the scenes antics while the show is airing live are amusing but overall it wasn't hilariously funny though.

6.5/10

Black swan (2010)\

Natalie Portman's portrayal of a ballerina's descent into madness was quite good.
Was it an Oscar worthy schizo performance though?....hmmm?.....hey?.....huh?.....maybe.

If you like a disturbing psychological drama then you should enjoy this one.
The life of a ballet dancer can be so tragic, that's why they never look happy.

Well, the role wasn't really based on her Schizophrenia as much as on an innocent ballerina whose dedication to perfect performance came in the way of performing with love and passion as the black swan, conclusively turning the pretty girl into a sinning woman with a mental breakdown.
And the way Natalie shows sides of an actress that is seldom (if ever) seen in movies especially within this genre I think qualifies her for the Oscar.
But it's a woman's movie so who the **** knows, amiright?

all she did was act like a 12 year old and cry, not really a ground breaking performance. I think people just got pulled in by all the dancing she was doing not really her acting.

........

Imho, her schizophrenia was the movie.  She was already nuts at the start of the movie and she had full blown schizophrenia before the end of it.  Not only did she have a split personality but she had trouble telling what was real and what wasn't.

The movie was like a cautionary tale of what can happen to someone who is a little fragile and has an abusive bitch of a mother and can't cope with the stress of competition.

Well, if that was the case then I doubt the movie would've ever been nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture & Best Leading Actress. I didn't find it anywhere close to some of the other movies, that deal with schizofrenia. The movie really didn't create a very good picture of a schizofrenia, and why would anyone turn a tragic erotic ballet act into a movie about schizofrenia? And who'd want to watch that?
But who knows, when interpreting movies there's no right or wrong.

Tron: Legacy - 7/10 - And only for the pretty visuals and music. Like... an eight or nine for that and a four for the story. Loved the look and the sound. Also as someone here said, an action movie without the action, come on! There should have been much more fighting and robocomputersomething going on.
