Haha, I just watched the first movie last night (for the first time) and thought exactly the same! Well, except for the part about Jesus. Prince Caspian is next.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian - 5/10

Holy shit, you weren't kidding. Halfway trough the movie I thought how it was better than the first one, but then the whole thing started feeling like a ripoff of Two Towers. The hiding in the forest, the assembling of the armies, Lucy going on a solo mission, then Gandalf errr.... Aslan comes back for a minute and saves the day (makes you think why he waited so long).

If I haven't watched LotR and if it wasn't one of my favourite movies, I'd give this one a 7 or 8 easy.

christian themes and christian mythology is what the the chronicles of narnia is all about.

edit: and i'm talking about the books. the movies are terrible in every way.

Yeah I read that afterwards, I mean not the books, but just about the fact that there's this Christian thing going on. Couldn't care less to be honest, except for a forced dialogue or two along the lines of 'you gotta look for Jesus Aslan before he's going to magically appear' it hasn't really made the movie any better or worse for me. Which I suppose is a good thing, since I did get the message, but wasn't bothered.

Charlie Wilson's War - 8/10

Watched the first 20 minutes of it a year or two ago and just got back to watching the whole thing.  Thought it was very well written and once I saw Aaron Sorkin did the screenplay I knew why I liked it.  Might have given it a 9.5 if Emily Blunt was in it more and/or nude.

August Underground Mordum & August Underground Penance    2/10

Got around to watching these, but to be frank, what the fuck is/was the fuzz about? I found movies like "Serpski Film" and "Ex-Drummer" way more unsettling, especially the latter. All i got in these two flicks was really mediocre SFX (which where high praised via various movie sites) and much boredom. Giving it a two cause it looks like an attempt to make an original movie, but blah, seriously lame. Gonna watch the "Slaughtered Vomit Dolls" Trilogy next, at least there the  trailer is promising.

Hmm, I did thought it was a nice add in this movie. In what movie do you see the 3d effects? Almost none. I thought it worked well in this movie just like in avatar. (were you also dont see many 3d effects, but's a good add to the movie because it feels more ''alive'')

Ajami  6/10

The Disappearance of Alice Creed  7/10

Um.. I saw loads of 3d effects in Avatar and in Resident Evil. This one had none besides the little text in the beginning of the movie. If you cant see the difference between the movies above then you probably cant see 3d.

Queen Of The Damned - 7/10 - Enjoyable vampire flick, not great but I always like Lestat.

Sixteen Candles - 7/10 - It's kinda a weird film, a bit creepy at times as it's unintentionally racist and kinda condones date rape. Still ignoring that there's a pretty good teen flick in there.

Rushmore - 7/10 - Offbeat teen comedy, it's surprisingly good though.

The Town - 7/10 - Good film in which Ben Afleck continues to slowly undo the damage he did to his career & reputation over the years.

Say Anything - 7/10 - I expected more but it was ok, the ending kinda sucked though.

Home Room - 8/10 - Great film although the end is weird, as if there isn't enough tragedy it then decides to rip you apart at the end. Plus it goes a little nuts a bit nuts trying to explain itself. Still it's one of the better films I've seen recently and I liked it better than the similarly plotted Elephant.
