Carlos - 10/10 for the first part, pure television/movie stuff. Probably a 6/10 and 7/10 for numbers two and three respectively, the pacing was slightly worse and the general direction wasn't as brilliant as in the first part. A must see.

Yeah. It's one of my favorite movies. Don't understand how that makes The Town a remake of it. Ben Affleck is fuckin WATCHING Heat in one of the scenes. It's a movie about bank robbers. You have no story if you don't portray people on both sides of the law in a scenario like that. That's about where the similarities end.

You might as well have just said Se7en is a remake of Silence of the Lambs.

Matrix - 7/10 - The first one. There are some absolutely fabulous parts, but the whole is hardly great. It's just a good movie. I never got the massive hype and fawning over. Not at the time of its release and most definitely not a dozen years later.

Armageddon: 3/10

Some good/funny scenes, but overall way too patriotic and utterly stupid ! OH HAI, WE ARE DIGGING FOR OIL *10 min later* OH HAI, WE ARE WORKING FOR NASA!

Oh, saw it for the first time in 2000-2001, it was god damn incredible back then, blew my mind.. but now, MEH!

The second and third Matrix flicks - 6/10 & a 4/10 or so I guess? The Re... R... Reloaded? That one was still pretty cool but number three... sure it was still a big money movie with some cool scenes but it was noticeably worse than the previous two and ultimately disappointing. Just sweaty sewer people, boring cgi battles and inane dialogue. Having watched all three movies I have to wonder why they decided to make a decent trilogy rather than one brilliant movie.

Desperado - 5/10 - Never seen the whole thing before. Thought it would be much more fun. Definitely watchable at the very least. I suppose you could add two round, juicy, huge bonus points for Salma Hayek.

Last Hurrah For Chivalry 6/10 an old John woo movie, nice sword fights but the story was pretty lame.

@DrevoKocour is Desperado not the middle movie from a trilogy ?

El mariachi the first and the third being Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

Chuck - Season 1 - 9/10

Well it's not exactly a movie, but I've rewatched the entire first season in one day (actually half a day) and I thought I deserve a post.

I forgot how good the first season was. So fresh and everything. I remembered a lot of the stuff, but season two is a complete blank to me so... :blink:

The Mission - 7/10 - One of the very few films I have seen that have portrayed wonderful, intelligent emotion. Not some shallow tearjerking, but real emotion, innocence. In those moments - and there could have been many more - a 10/10 brilliance has shone through the otherwise decent, 6/10 filmmaking, acting, story and whatnot.

The Incredibles - 8/10 - Hadn't seen it in a long time and it really is an amazingly good film.

In The Name Of The Father - 8/10 - Decided to watch the when I heard about the death of Pete Postlethwaite. What a performance from him and Daniel Day Lewis. I kinda knew about the story but I was very young back then so wasn't entirely sure what was going on. Wow I'm still absolutely stunned to hear about miscarriages of justice like this, I will never understand how someone can put results over justice. Those who knowingly cover up unsafe convictions like this should be forced to serve the equivalent sentences as the wrongly imprisoned.

Get Him To The Greek - 7/10 - Really filthy and surprisingly funny.

Knight and Day - 7/10

I loved Tom & Cameron in this movie. They made me laugh quite a few times. It was better than The Bounty Hunter & Killers, no doubt.
