yeah but, live and smokin is from '71! I watched him in some 80/90's comedy and thought why is this guy funny? And watched Live and Smokin' but It's just a negro making fun of himself. Basically the same to laugh at a fat guy cuz he's fat.

The Social Network - 7/10 - If this really happened the way it did in the film then Zuckerberg is insane. I can understand screwing most people over but your best friend and co-founder? Great film though but I do wonder how much truth there is to it.

Pretty much a boring movie where nothing interesting happens.

Devil 6/10

No interesting characters and the plot was very simple and straight forward.

Lol I didn't even make the connection. (as I edited Encounter later) But It actually sums it up. Maybe in the 70's the ''white folks this'' White folks that ''I'm a poor negro'' stand up comedian was funny but not anymore. Encounters was in total a funny movie, but yes the fat smiling face from Sammo makes it complete. (but I guess he knew that also, since he was the director)

Tomorrow When The War Began - 6/10 - Interesting Premise although you really can tell it's based on a kids book. Unfortunately for me it was ultimately let down by it's slightly crappy story telling and lack of plausibility in the action sequences. But I have a slight crush on Caitlin Stasey so it's not all bad.

The Social Network - 6.5/10 Kinda cool movie!

Skyline - 6/10 Pretty special effects but didn't knew what the hell was going on, in a bad way, not in a good way like Cloverfield.

Light,funny and enjoyable. I liked it even i don't like the teen drama but this one was good.

Mars Attacks - 6/10 - I'm sure I'd seen it before not that I could remember but after viewing it again I now know why I'd forgotten it. It's interesting and star studded but not very good.

Outland - 6/10 - It's a beautiful movie, it's got that 70/80s Sci-Fi semi-industrial look to it but the story isn't strong, the acting isn't very good particularly Sean Connery's son who with a mere 10 seconds of dialogue he's almost destroys the entire movie for me. It's a nice try but doesn't quite work.

A nice, decent comedy, but the ending was very predictable and stupid, so it killed it for me. The scenes with Belushi made me laugh out loud. :lol:

True Grit (2010)

This is a remake of John Wayne's old movie by the same name which I have seen but this one has that great raw look that a western should have and with better characters.
The two main stars are a fearless and highly intelligent little heroin (Mattie Ross) with a mission to see her fathers murder avenged and a boozing but tough as nails Marshall she hires for the job (Rooster Cogburn).

It doesn't reach the quality of "Unforgiven" (1992), a movie with a similar plot, mainly because of a slightly disappointing villain and Unforgiven had several great characters, but it is still a great western in it's own right.
One small thing I didn't like though was the older Mattie Ross (40+) who didn't resemble the young Mattie in looks or personality.

There were a few laughs here and there, but the whole movie was just so awkward and predictable. And it was pretty hard to watch the characters make fools of themselves through the entire movie.

A 0.5 bonus point for Odette Yustman for being smoking hot.
