Devil - 6/10
Worth watching, surprisingly good.

The Town 7/10
Also very good, definitely worth watching. Would've prefered if the movie would've cut down some in length. Still very good.

amazing visually, but horrid storyline and dialogue. Also this is not a kiddie sort of cartoon if you are planning to have your younger kids watch it, very mature themes (nazism and holocaust) and violence for a "kids flick".

i'd give it 7/10, but i agree with many of your points. i don't think they thought about their audience with this film - it wasn't a kids film and it wasnt an adults film. visuals were spectacular though

I could have sworn Ive seen them all before this one and still had no idea what they were talking about half the time. Also the movie is 2h30m long and it seemed like two of those hours took place in a tent.

I have read all the books & am a big fan of the series.

But I absolutely agree with you. I gave it even less than what you gave. The movie sucks and it is beyond acceptable level. Anyone without reading books wouldn't understand what they were talking about. A lot of content was altered and changed.

Yes, but why...

Because of the fact, that some things that happen in the movie are not in sync. For example, in the beginning when Moody dies escorting Harry, Fred or George (someone of these 2) lost one ear. This happens at the end of the book so should have been in the second movie.

Acting was 3rd grade I thought. Ministry of magic scenes drastically changed. Rufus Scrimgeour the head of ministry dies. Voldemort isn't so much talkative. They ruined his character in the beginningof the movie when he is speaking excitedly. NOT ONCE, in the book Voldemort ever showed emotion. & on & on....

^^Meh i have read all the books too, and i don't blame them for changing somethings, things ant be EXACTLY the way they were, i liked it.

The Devil 1080p - 8/10

Awesome movie, cant believe Shyamalan had anything to do with this, good movie nonetheless.

Devil  - 6.5/10....pretty good for a horror.

The Switch - 7.5/10

Nice romantic comedy. Bateman and Aniston have nice chemistry, the story is decent and there are a few light jokes.

Enjoyed it.

Legend of the guardians something something - 4.5/10

The Next Three Days - TRAILER -  Score: 8.5/10

A must view!!! This movie is really good, intensity, suspense, great acting, good actors. A bit too long, but it's a great story! Perfect performance by Russell Crowe.

I think some innocent chit chat here and there can't hurt, or else it's just a spam topic.

Legend of the Guardians 7/10

Very nice visually, but nothing more apart from that

Despicable Me 7.5/10

The Minions saved the movie for me, very funny creatures.

Wall Street - 8.5/10

What a powerfull movie. And you can easily relate it to today's events, 20 years later. Awsome performance by Michael Douglas, and nice to see Charlie Sheen being able to do something other than comedy. I would have wanted a more dramatic ending tho.

Devil (2010)

Not much of a horror story.
Lights go out, lights go back on, oh no someone else got hurt when the lights went out.
Let's hope they don't go out again.

Plus, the thin plot sounds just like you would find in "The Outer Limits" or "Twilight Zone" on TV.

Decent acting for what they had to work with.

5/10

Daybreakers 6/10

More like a drama movie

Monsters - 6/10 - Being a sci-fi fan reading the basic plot outline makes this film just sounds right up my street, plus the reviews all seem to be glowing with praise but this film isn't what I thought it would be and while a lot of reviewers were suitably impressed I am not.

I didn't like the main characters at all, didn't really understand their motivation for taking such a stupid risk & really didn't understand why they weren't more scared. I read someone describe it as a relationship movie that happens to have monsters in it and I agree, they could have removed the monsters completely replaced them with anything and no one would have noticed.

Your ratings are low compared to the texts guiding them.

Are there any movies you give 8s, 9s or 10s?

Well, I usually consider a 5/10 the average of the movies I see. For me, personally, it takes more than a few twists in the movie or an inventive plot to make me give something larger than 7. I consider an 8 to be a movie, that was good for its genre or theme.

And I consider a 10/10 to be the greatest movie of all time. The movie would have to reach me and touch me on a deep level (This sounds gay) for me to give it a 10 or a 9. In my opinion a 10/10 can't have any flaws, boring moments or anything like that. And a movie like this would never get a 10/10 in average, because the target group would have to be very specific.

I know it might seem low if you use IMDB's standards. In my opinion IMDB's ratings are way too high. Take a movie with a rating below 5 and you'll find it unwatchable. + IMDB's ratings usually rank crime- and mystery movies way higher than say an action movie. And with the amount of crime- and mystery movies that the movie industry produces at the moment, I find it rather strange that they'd rank them this high.
In my opinion IMDB is way too pretentious and doesn't value entertainment high enough.

And I gave Wall-e an 8!

I thought about having a similar system but it didn't really give enough range and no movie is flawless so no movie could get a10.
Shit, I love The Matrix to death and think it's the greatest movie of all time and there are several clear flaws in it.
