The Family Stone - 6/10 - Strangely unlikeable for the most part. Meredith is polite & extremely uptight but Everett's family are horrible. What she says to them at the dinner table is almost unforgivable even if she didn't mean to offend I can't defend that. The events that follow make the film seem less like a feel good holiday comedy and play out like a dysfunctional Christmas family drama.

Everett basically attempts to cheat on Meredith with her sister, within minutes of his almost fianc� running away. Which is just a level of douchbaggery I found completely intolerable.

The film plays off genre expectations and pretty much bitch-slaps you for having any. It feels wrong to criticise a film because I'm not open minded enough to accept that it wasn't exactly like every film of it's type but it annoyed me slightly and I couldn't get past that.

Dark City - 7/10 - Don't know why I put off watching this for so long. It's strange but pretty good.

The A Team - 7/10 - I was hoping for more but it was OK.

Mr. Nobody 8.5/10

Very nice movie illustrating the significance of choices in our lives and consequences they can have. I thought the director did an awesome job of portraying all the three alternative plots (dependent of the choice he made) and it kept the audience engaged even though the plot is about as far away from linear as you can get. Also the sound track was amazing.

The A-Team Well I expected shit, and thats what I got! Damn first 45 minutes I wanted to poke my eyes out, later on (little bit in the middle) it gets better. But they jokes are really for 12y olds, people were laughing and I was like! STFU

Splice - 6/10 - I don't like the lone careless scientist storyline in general, not any more I find it so hard to believe now. Yeah it's kinda effective & the behaviour of these idiots is terrifying but I just can't buy that someone that smart is so willing to take that many risks or is able to do so without anyone stopping them.
I spent the whole film annoyed that they seem so completely comfortable with what they've done, especially when I think that any reasonable person would be scared of the creature. Plus I was so incredibly pissed off that there were no safeguards in place to stop them.
