Was pretty good, the chemistry between the two guys worked really well, a pity it was a decent movie at best otherwise and didn't have more of the Downey-Kilmer hilarity.

yesterday i saw ---AVATAR----in IMAX3D. 8.5/10

the movie was very predictable and cliche but the special FX were great and it was very entertaining. The movie is almost 3 hours long but it kept me interested the entire time. never boring. If you get the chance, you should definitely do the IMAX3D.

i watched the TS avatar from TB a few days ago, but the IMAX3D was like a new movie entirely.

Ditto this. The story is hardly revolutionary, but the overall impact of this film is immense.

2012 - Just watched this piece of crap movie. It's the most ridiculous movie i have ever seen. It's such an "American" movie. It only consisted of ridiculous chase scenes where they get chased by exploding super volcano's etc etc, super cheesy lines, the "oh my god we are never going to make it, we will crash and die, its impossible to make it, ohhh hey we made it!" scenes, the godamn "fuck you" -finger scene and so on. This movie should be crowned the worst movie of all time. I'm so glad i didn't pay for it.

When you look past the great effects and CGI, the story just isn't there to counter it. I laughed out loud when I heard Giovanni Ribisi say "Unobtainium". Could they really not think of anything else to call the rock than the same name they used in the crap movie "The Core"??? The story jumps from stage to stage like... I did this->then I had to do this -> then I had to do this -> CONFLICT -> then I had to do this -> BATTLE!!!!

Sorry but I found myself just wishing for it to end. My friend I saw it with felt the same way.

Up in the Air - 9.5/10

This movie was incredible. Jason Reitman is a great director and this movie is his best yet. Most of it was shot in my hometown so that didn't hurt either

I just went to see Sherlock Holmes with 5 other people (3 females, 2 males) and the opinion of all 3 guys (myself included) was that it was a fantastic movie and quite possibly one of the best of the year. The ladies didnt think so, and were actually a bit bored by it... one of them paid so little attention they thought the 'secret order' were vampires at the end of it.

Honestly, Robert Downey Jones Jr. is absolutely fantastic and made the role his own... The on-screen 'brother-like' chemistry between him and Jude Law were fantastic and the acting, top-notch. The storyline I liked too. I loved how there was the mystery and detective work going on and every now and then a decent big dollop of action to keep things running nicely - everything flowed so well, and they even set things up nicely for a 'Sherlock Holmes 2', which I pray to god happens!

Quite honestly an instant favourite and very possibly one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. This was one of those cinema visits where you don't mind forking over �7.50. My only regret was getting a slushy with my rack of ribs at TGI Fridays, which because of it, I didn't want a Tango Ice Blast, even though I really did want one but because of the slushy knew I wouldnt actually drink...

Im like Holmes, im a strange person that you'll never fully understand :giggle:
